Spacious Comfortable Nature Cabin by the River and Mountains

This quaint, country home and cabin is a semi rustic place with some comforts and some modern features (like a large flat screen TV with surround system, WiFi and a brand new Hot Tub.
Tenants have access to a private entrance to the Shenandoah River, just across the home.

The home has a large deck from which you witness the spectacular view by day of the Shenandoah River and Shenandoah Valley, which is surrounded by mountains full of forests. On the same deck by night you witness the starry night seeing the sky full of stars and planets! Also you can appreciate of all of these marvelous views while being in a nice new hot tub. The kitchen, comes with most of what you need to cook (micro, stove and oven, dishwasher, fridge, dishes, pots and silverware). The living room has a convenient electric fireplace, TV and surround sound system to enjoy even from the kitchen while cooking).

Tenants come to either rest and catch up with creative work or to enjoy the many activities the area offers, which include fishing, hunting, biking, hiking, mountain climbing, swimming or kayaking or canoeing. Those into the civil war will find many important historical sites or battle locations very close by. The home is easily accessible from Washington DC. Flights from anywhere in the country are usually reasonable so travel cost should not deter you. Those coming from outside the area will find it easy to travel to the area, since you have three major airports serving the area: Dulles International Airport, Washington Reagan Airport or Baltimore International Airport.

Come and enjoy the peaceful environment here at the home and at the same time have easy access to such notable places as the Smithsonian Museums, Capital, and the White House. Alternatively, you can simply drive down the famous and breathtaking Skyline Drive operated by the U.S. National Park Service, which is minutes away from the home. The towns of Front Royal and Luray are also an easy 15 minute drive (approx) from the home and there you will have access to shopping, restaurants and to the renowned Luray Caverns.

The cabin has 3 bedrooms and one loft. It is large enough but at the same time it has been divided and planned in a certain way that if you are just a couple, like us, and are looking to spend some cozy time with your partner or a small family, you would get that cozy feeling from the design of the cabin as well. My wife and I really enjoy it!
Main floor level: has the main amenities needed including kitchen, living room, bathrooms and access to the main deck where the Hot tub is. There is the kitchen, dining area, screened porch, 2 full bathrooms, a living room, a family room, and 2 "master" bedrooms.
The A Frame portion of the home has the loft, the private "master" bedroom and bathroom and a family room. It also has a family room with beautiful large views to the river and the hills and access to the deck at the front of the house. There some sofas and club chairs, rocking chairs and arm chairs to relax.
The basement is finished and it has a private bedroom with a queen size bed and it has a door that closes for privacy and there's a living area right outside it with a couch. It’s not claustrophobic at all. There you can find the washer and dryer and utility room.

About Me
I am an active University Professor that grew up on a ranch in a rural part of California. Traveling often to Washington DC I found it was a perfect place to stay in touch with nature and to be in a peaceful environment far from the busy urban world. Yet I liked having access to Washington DC, which has all the entertainment one can possibly have from any large city. I found a beautiful quiet area near the Shenandoah River surrounded by mountains, close to Vineyards, a National Park, Historic Towns and museums not too far from the amazing and vibrant Washington D.C. and other University towns. I wanted to have a cabin there to visit often and enjoying nature and sometimes have a quiet time to relax from the city. I was able to make this dream come true and now I want to share it with other professors or academics like me who will appreciate it and enjoy it while they fulfill their own dreams or goals being personal or professional.
