PRIVATE MARRAKECH RIAD (MEDINA) FOR MONTHLY RENTAL IN MOROCCO

Author's architecturally-renovated, three-level private Riad in Marrakech, Morocco in fashionable Bab Doukalah quartier near the Dar el Bacha Palace–the upscale heart and soul of the Médina. A haven from the hustle and crowds of Jemma el F'na, this private home riad is a tranquil, calm, architect's dream of carved stone, rosewood columns, tadelekt walls, solid tiled stairways. Details include exquisite 17th century wooden Mughal Indian carved doors and hand-carved stonework. 2 delightfully inviting bedrooms (fine linens, quality mattresses) with ensuite WC, shower, and bath, AC. Lower level includes fully-applianced cuisine, ground level private inner courtyard with fountain and outdoor dining area. Roof terrace (also with dining area) with views of the Koutoubia Mosque (lit up at night) and the Atlas Mountains. Private atelier for writing or painting off inner courtyard. Beautifully detailed salon with wood burning chimney for chilly desert nights. Prefer monthly rental for professional, academic couple or mature single researcher/adventurer. $1500 per month. Additional for housekeeper. (Utilities extra: air conditioning, electricity, and wifi). Walk up the Derb to the Souks, Palace, restaurants, cafes, spice market, and best of all, Mustapha Blaoui's Alibaba treasure warehouse of the best of Moroccan and African carpets, textiles, Berber jewelry, pottery, furniture and antique finds right on the corner.

About Me
Multi-faceted adventurer who travels frequently to research secrets in dusty archives and find my way into off-limit backdoors as an International Global Investigator. (Please visit my website:www.aCertainJustice.com). I am also an author of several trade books and articles. I am fearless, and persistent in getting the facts, but as a house sitter or renter or rentee, I am meticulous and tidy and expect the same from those whose hands I leave my house and cat. I have lived and worked in France, Holland, Poland, Israel, Jordan, Japan, (for example), but maintain a charming antique row house in the heart of Brookline, Massachusetts. Usually I am looking for someone to rent a room while I'm on assignment, which can be one to three months, but the person I choose can also stay longer as I come and go. I do wish to charge rent to cover expenses, and in return, you should feel free to enjoy the house and the environs as long as Felix is let in and out and fed. (The neighborhood children also help out). The house is six minutes to the Brookline Village T stop, a handful of blocks to the Longwood Medical Area and Harvard Medical School and Harvard Public Health. Boston University is a bike ride away. And Simmons, Mass Art, etc. are also walkable. The other 200 colleges and universities in the area are accessible by T or bus. I live on a private lane in Brookline Village, and the neighbors all fascinating; French, Russian, South African, Dutch, Israeli, Chinese, and their professions range from doctors, to bio researchers, to writers, designers, professors of art, and an IT guru.
