About Me
I am Italian, resident in Lisbon (since 2012). Veterinarian by background, former NGOs worker in the Food Security and Livelihoods sector (from 2004 to 2017), currently open to a career change in the hospitality sector. Travelled and worked abroad extensively, mostly in Africa and South East Asia. Still planning to travel and open to home exchanges as well with places in warm/tropical climates. Flexible and glad to rent my 2 favorite places in Lisbon to a very tidy, respectful, well-mannered and well-traveled people. Kindness calls kindness, and its paramount for me dealing with decent, polite and sensible individuals, and this goes beyond the 'contract/business agreement'.

We stayed in Mauro's apartment September-November 2019. It was perfect for us (a couple both with writing projects, and with occasional visitors). The apartment is around 100 years old and sensitively renovated. It is very comfortable and we loved both the layout - a classic Lisbon apartment but spacious, and with high ceilings and windows that made it feel even more so - and Mauro's beautiful African-influenced decor, which is charming and makes for a very liveable space indeed. We left with regret. The area, between Graca and Mouraria, is a mixed area which makes it very interesting - some immigrants, lots of older-established residents, and a number of probably more newly-arrived younger people involved in startups and digital workspaces. There were lots of places to eat nearby, ranging from cheap to more expensive, but what was most useful to us was the plethora of small shops and markets in the vicinity selling cheap and good quality fresh produce of all kinds. Graca with its lovely miradouros and more shops and restaurants rewards a short walk uphill, then you can go over to Sao Vincente de Fora, Santa Clara etc to admire older Lisbon, or walk on to the castello. We recommend! In all our dealings with Mauro we found him very helpful and fair. Excellent Annabel 12/6/2019 7:24:00 AM
We enjoyed 5 months in Mauro's apartment in Lisbon. The location in Graza worked very well with the Metro down the hill for trips out and around Lisbon and the fun tram ride back up the hill to come back. The apartment is modern, with everything needed and with a balcony overlooking a large park to enjoy eating during the good Portugal weather. Mauro was so friendly and helpful in every way to make our stay rich and comfortable. Excellent Ciccio 8/25/2016 3:56:00 AM
