Art filled, Sun Drenched multi-level home 30 minutes to Boulder, 45 to RMNP

Welcome to Longmont, home to a vibrant downtown nightlife, bustling breweries, tempting restaurants, beautiful hiking trails, relaxing reservoirs and stunning mountain views.

Situated in a quiet suburb, our home is only 20-30 minutes to Boulder, 35-45 to Denver and 45 to Estes Park. You can be to most trailheads in Rocky Mountain National park within an hour form our doorstep. Closer to home, drive five minutes to hike around one reservoir or rent kayaks at another.

Pictures here are a placeholder for now. We're doing renovations and making changes, but wanted to have an ad up for those who plan ahead.

We will leave our offices on the very top floor closed - we ask those remain private. Available to you are two bedrooms, three bathrooms, living room, dining room and kitchen on three levels.

The bedroom pictured is one floor up from the main floor - two extra long twin beds which can be used together or apart. It has an ensuite bathroom.

Additionally there is a multi-purpose room at the "garden" level (does not feel like a basement - it's only a couple feet below grade, and has two large windows) 1/2 below the main level, with a gas fireplace. There are bathrooms located a few steps up and down from this room. (Down for a full bath, up for a half bath on the main level.)

(Please note: Currently this multi-purpose room has a full-sized futon for sleeping. We plan to move our furniture from the East coast by the end of March - at which point there will also be a king-sized bed. We want to be clear with this scenario in case something should go unexpectedly wrong with the move. We've hired movers for March 22 and they say they can get everything here in ten days, maximum. We've used these movers before with no issues, but just want our spring renters to be all right with just the futon, as a back-up scenario.)

The living room, on the main floor, features a very comfortable sectional couch and TV (reception is antenna, Apps and Roku), and we're currently adding an electric/steam fireplace. The dining room has a full table large enough for family meals. The kitchen is fully appointed, bright and warm, with cherry hard wood floors, a peninsula with plenty space for meal prep, a kitchen table, granite countertops and lots of kitchen tools and gadgets.

You can also enjoy the spacious back yard. We're fortunate to have a stand of aspen trees you can enjoy from the deck. Edison lights will warm your grilling and hammock-ing experiences.

If you need a car while here, please mention it and we can talk.

In addition to the monthly rental, we ask a $120 cleaning fee, and must add Longmont taxes totaling 8.515%. We also ask a $500 refundable damage deposit.

About Me
Colin is a lighting designer and photographer, (graduate of Duke and Yale) Niki is a classically trained singer and sometimes massage therapist (U of Michigan, U of Accra, and DePaul University.) We own and manage three vacation rental houses (in the Catskills and Moab, Utah) and travel between those, Brooklyn, family, and photography destinations for Colin's work. We're looking to replace the Brooklyn portion with someplace out West, thinking about a year's trial move would be wonderful.

I have been renting a two bedroom apt in Brooklyn since September. I will be here until the end of June. The apartment is very comfortable, with great light facing the Eastern Pkway Ave, with several subway lines at a walking distance. The owners have been extremely responsive with minor problems that have taken place, as the need for a new router or a kitchen window that needed to be replaced. I would whole heartedly recommend this place as well as the SabbaticalHomes site. If and when I return to NY I will try to stay at this place again if possible.
