Delightful Traditional Farmhouse, Siena, Tuscany

I offer for long or short term rent Casa al Frate, a beautiful, fully-furnished two-bedroom apartment in a traditional Tuscan farmhouse one and a half miles from the center of the historic city of Siena. The property, located between the wine region of Chianti and the clay hills of the Crete region, where pecorino cheese is produced, is surrounded by rolling hills, wheat fields, olive groves, and vineyards. The apartment has a private entrance, a large garden with a full view of Siena and surrounds, ample parking, wifi, and a traditional working fireplace. In addition two the two bedrooms there is a large sitting room and dining area, and a kitchen equipped with all modern kitchen appliances and clothes washing machine. The apartment sleeps four. Children and small pets are very welcome. Tennis courts, riding schools, public swimming pools are available nearby. There is also a river nearby, where our guests enjoy swimming. There are many country roads for those who enjoy long walks. Florence is an hour's drive from Siena, Rome two hours by car and three hours by bus. Public buses and trains to all other major cities are easily available from the center of Siena.
Rent in high season (May through September) is $650 per week all expenses included. Monthly rent in high season is $1,800. Off season rates are considerably lower.
Casa al Frate is the perfect choice for those who want a quiet country retreat with easy access to one of the oldest and most beautiful cities in Italy.

I am the director of an art school in Siena, I speak fluent English, and love to share my knowledge of the history of Siena and its cultural heritage. For the past eight years I've rented my property to visitors from all over the world and have had a very enthusiastic response from my guests. I am happy to answer any questions you may have.

About Me
I am half British and half Italian and have consequently lived partly in Siena, italy where I was born and grew up and partly in the UK since I went to university in Cambridge at Trinity College. I have decided to live in Siena where my father's family has lived for the past couple of centuries and here I have founded and now direct two different schools: the Siena Art Institute and the Siena School for Liberal Arts. I also work with the deaf community and am president of a small foundation that focuses on the education of deaf children
