This beautiful architecturally designed two storey Victorian home is so close to everything that the best of Melbourne has to offer. Exclusive city edge location close to the MCG / Melbourne Park / AAMI Stadium sporting precinct, or to explore the city of Melbourne. The home features a beautiful back garden with lush lawn. Whilst being located in vibrant Richmond it is still located in a quiet street. Richmond abounds with endless cafes and restaurants.
The space
The Home
The facade is a beautifully restored Victorian home with boom style windows and a white picket fence.The house was originally built in 1884 and has had a major renovation to incorporate modern living styles in the rear of the home. The living space i s an architecturally designed open plan and the house unfolds to reveal a two storey extension and a generous back garden with verandah.


Master bedroom
The master bedroom is in the front of the house and features a very comfortable king size bed with a luxurious kingsdown mattress, and ensuite bathroom. There are tasteful paintings throughout the home.

Second bedroom/study
Opposite the master bedroom is the 2nd downstairs bedroom/study/guestroom. The study has a very high quality sofa bed which converts to a comfortable queen size sofa bed. This room has recently been renovated with a beautiful period style architecturally designed study and hand crafted study cabinetry in tasteful black-wood.
The downstairs bathroom has a large bath (spa jets not currently operational) with a shower inside the bath and a separate toilet inside the bathroom. This bathroom connects to the master bedroom doubling as an ensuite.

A separate walk in robe adjoins the downstairs bathroom adjacent to the master bedroom
Formal dining room/music room.
As you walk down the corridor you will be greeted by a large open plan living space. Prior to stepping into the lounge room on the left will be the formal dining room/music room. The has a dining table which seats 6 people and also has a Yamaha upright piano for you to play and enjoy during your stay if you wish. The dining room is separated from the living room by a dwarf wall so that the view of the room is not interrupted.

The lounge room has a large 5 person couch which is a modular suite from king furniture and the configuration can be adjusted.
We have wood fire stove in the lounge room which is available for use during the winter months only (June to September). The house has ducted heating throughout so you will be warm and comfortable throughout your stay.
In the lounge room is a smart TV, with netflix etc., a DVD player and DVDs, and Playstation.There is wifi available throughout the house.

Kitchen/ Meal bay
The kitchen is adjacent to the open plan lounge room and is adjoined by a meal bay with a six person table which looks onto the large back garden and back verandah.
The kitchen has beautiful black granite bench top and is fully equipped with a Bosch dishwasher, microwave open, four burner gas cook top, fridge and oven. Fully equipped kitchen with kettle, toaster, pots, pans, cutlery, and tableware for eight.

The separate laundry is adjacent to the kitchen and is equipped with a sink a dryer and washing machine. There are also clothes horses for you to hang out smaller items.

Bedroom 1
The first bedroom is currently the bedroom of a child which has a single bed.The bedroom looks out onto the back garden and has a reverse cycle air conditioner and heater with remote control.

Bedroom 2
The second bedroom has a king single bed.
which also looks onto the back garden and also has a reverse cycle air-conditoner.
Upstairs bathroom with toilet and shower.

Large back garden with lawn and a large verandah to enjoy the view of the back garden and sit and enjoy a glass of wine

We are a family of four. I am an Academic at Melbourne University and my wife is a a Medical Doctor (Paediatrician). We have two very well behaved teenage children aged 13 and 4 years. I am undertaking a sabatical to Lyon France in July 2020 for 3 months.
