My father (Nicolas Gachon) initially contacted Monica, and I am very glad he did! My partner Max and I stayed in Monica's studio from September 2019 to March 2021. Monica was a wonderful host and her studio was spacious, nicely decorated and fully equipped (the kitchen has everything you need and bedding and towels are available in the closet). The studio has many windows which allow a lot of natural light to come in. From the kitchen there is also a nice view of Monica's garden. The flat is located a short 1 or 2 minute walk from a big park with a lovely café and the Dollis Hill tube station. Before the lockdowns I would travel to King's College London in central London by tube everyday and it usually took me around 30 minutes. Monica was a very friendly and helpful host and both Max and I would contact her again if we ever needed a place to stay in London.

I stayed in this room in Monica's house for six months, from January to June 2019. I had an excellent experience. The house is lovely and Monica is very nice and helpful. She is also a very interesting lady and I enjoyed chatting with her. The house is conveniently located close to the Dollis Hill tube station and near the Gladstone park. I loved the café on top of the hill. I also enjoyed the Portuguese restaurant right by the Dollis Hill tube station, it is simple but people are very friendly and there is an interesting Portuguese-speaking community there. I commuted to Waterloo every day on the Jubilee line, which took me about half an hour. The room is small, but it's nice and quiet, and there is a private bathroom. I had a really good time at Monica's house and would strongly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a place to stay in London on a temporary basis.

LISTING 98587 Ensuite room - I stayed in Monica's lovely house for 6 weeks. Monica was a great host - when I arrived from the airport I was so pleased that everything was all ready, including towels, bedding, kettle, microwave, and even tea bags. Monica was thoughtful and helpful as I moved in, and she is also a very interesting person to chat to. The tube is a 1 or 2 minute walk away, and there is a food store, an off license and a café right by the station. You can also walk down to Willesden Green which has a big Sainsburys and also a few restaurants. Every day I commuted to NYU London (Bedford Sq near Tottenham Ct Rd) and it took about thirty mins door-to-door. (Tip: On days when I didn't have to be in the office early I would walk to the excellent Witch Café and then get the tube from Willesden Green). The bedroom may small/normal sized (as advertised) but it actually has a great amount of shelf space and room for clothes. The bathroom is also very spacious. All in all I would happily recommend this room to anyone looking for a well appointed, hassle-free and convenient room with easy tube access to central London.

LISTING 98587 Ensuite room - I stayed at this rental for a month in 2018 and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quaint place easily reachable from the center (my commute was 20-25 min. to UCL, Euston Square). The neighborhood has just the right amount of distractions, a nearby park beckons for strolls, and Monica is a fabulous host. The bedroom itself is welcoming and the facilities functioning. I would definitely contact Monica again where I to return to London for a month or, hopefully, more.

LISTING 98587 Ensuite room - I stayed at Monica's charming terrace in Dollis Hill in June 2017 while I was doing research at the British Library. The Dollis Hill tube is a stone's throw away. Monica was a gracious host, always friendly and helpful, but never intrusive. The bedroom, with TV, wifi, kettle, microwave, wardrobe and desk is very comfortable and the bathroom is a good size. Both have views of Monica's lovely rear garden. I would be more than happy to stay here again and would recommend it highly to anyone.
