We stayed at Jenny's wonderful house for a week this summer, as a home base while touring several universities this summer. Communication during our stay was always prompt and clear. The house arrangement was perfect - a pantry and refrigerator shelf was provided for food items, the bedroom had a comfortable bed and large private bathroom, and a sun-room to enjoy a cup of coffee. The best part of our stay was meeting our wonderful host family. They made us feel welcome during our stay. I would highly recommend staying here for great accommodations, a safe location, and most importantly the outstanding hospitality. Excellent Dixie 1/2/2018 8:04:00 AM
I really enjoyed the stay at Jenny and Luke place! I stayed in their home for 3 months and they really made my stay awesome! They helped me buying a laptop and they let me borrow Luke's bike. They have a super cute son: Alex. He is really funny and smart and it was really cool to me have dinner with all of them sometimes. I was in Durham for an internship at Duke and I was looking for a comfortable accommodation but I found more than that: an amazing family and I really enjoyed spent time with them. The house is big, awesome and close to the Duke. It is, without doubts, a great choice! Excellent pietro 10/7/2017 2:41:00 AM
Jenny and Luke were really wonderful! I loved being in their house, and they worked very hard to make my stay excellent, as well as to introduce me to the community. I felt really welcomed by them, and I appreciated it very much. I will miss them a lot, and highly recommend staying at their house. Excellent Allison L 1/7/2017 3:34:00 PM
I stayed with this host family for nearly 3 months (June, July and August) and could not have been happier. The home is not only convenient to restaurants, food stores and coffee shops, the host family is wonderful. Having just returned to the U.S. from Africa, I needed a place to stay until one of the tenants in my house moved out. The host family made me feel safe and welcome throughout my stay. The house is clean and well-maintained, inside and out, and I enjoyed many walks within the Oval Park neighborhood, to Duke East Campus, along 9th street and to Cocoa Cinnamon. I made frequent use of the near-by Duke Lilly Library. The ideal location, comfortable accommodations and friendly host family made this, for me, an exceptional experience. My experience in Durham would not have been the same without Jenny and her family. First of all, the room I rented in their beautiful home was great. Plenty of space and the on suite bathroom is very convenient. And the kitchen is a cooks dream. The house is also an easy walk to Duke as well as the Ninth st. shops and Whole Foods. The neighborhood was very safe, so walking at night was no problem, and it was easy to get around without a car. But more so than the lovely accommodations, Jenny and her family where the perfect hosts. They were so welcoming and made my time there the best. They know so much about the city and always enjoyed exploring the it with me and showing me their favorite spots. So if anyone is planning to visit Durham, look no further.
