About Me
I am a member of the University of Melbourne Staff Club, having lectured and supported professionals at universities, schools and across Victoria. I managed a series of exciting partnership programs between Victorian universities and ACEL,The Australian Council of Educational Leadership, a key national organization. As an ACEL Fellow, I have been an ACEL Victorian Board Member for 10 years and am an experienced educator. My work specializes in educational support, couselling, interventions and programs for students and adults with learning difficulties and additional challenges. I worked in the Victorian Education Department as a statewide consultant and manager of significant projects, from school leadership and teaching to ministerial levels. As well, I held several posts as Head of Faculty, Special Education and Support Services, in both the Victorian Independent and Catholic schools sectors. Now, I manage a private practice, Specialist Education Services, providing consultancy to families, learners, schools and community organisations. I was born and educated in Melbourne where I have many friends and family who are professional leaders in Law, Government, Medicine and Health, Education and Counselling. I am an experienced practitioner of Insight Meditation/Mindfulness, have traveled widely, living in Europe for six years and working in London and Milan, Italy. I am interested in current affairs and contemporary social issues, and enjoy the Arts, film, literature, reading, gardening and walking.
