SUMMARY- Our classic family Arts and Crafts home built in 1915 and has three floors of living space.

A second floor 1000 square foot master bedroom/bathroom/sun deck/ living room/ laundry. This is the entire second floor with a loft nook with full futon.

First floor is 1350 square foot main level with two bedrooms/newly updated bathroom/ chef's kitchen/ living room with fireplace/and formal dining room.

Basement has a completely self sufficient finished basement apartment with kitchenette with electric stove and bathroom, second laundry, pantry and attached garage. Entire house is approximately 3200 square feet, read on for more details...

The first floor (1350 square feet) has two bedrooms, one extra large with a queen bed with walk-in closet, also has a private patio door to the back yard garden and attached deck. It is bright and warm with south and west facing windows. The smaller north and east facing bedroom has one with full bed set. The first floor full bathroom is 9x6, full window west facing window bank, is has just been remodeled. It has white tile floor, floor to ceiling white subway tiles with pedestal sink and new walk in glass shower.

The custom eat-in architecturally restored kitchen has floor to ceiling custom oak cabinetry, a large Soapstone farm sink & counters, handmade tile backsplash a built a sub zero fridge, Dacor gas range with downdraft and new Bosch dishwasher. The The large south facing landscape picture window (72"x40") looks out into the garden. There is a built in kitchen nook with large table that has a full view of garden. The kitchen is fully equipped with quality appliances, all cookware, dishware, glassware. There are hardwood maple floors through both the first and second floors.

The formal dining room has a large mission style oak table that seats 14 if fully extended, the built in leaded glass hutch houses all glassware and china, and linens for entertaining. The living room with fireplace has two two built in bookcases and a spirits cabinets.

The entire second floor of the house is a master bedroom about 1000 square feet. It has a king bed, 12x12 bathroom with jacuzzi tub and walk -in shower, 12x12 sun deck with patio furniture opening to the backyard garden through double doors, built in California closet system with second full stackable laundry. The room has great light and is very spacious. There are three long true divided light casement windows on the east and west sides of the room, two large skylights and south facing patio doors with windows on each side that opens to the deck. There is an also extra sleeping loft with futon (9x9) you can access midway off stairway to the master bedroom. The room is also furnished with a desk and printer, flat screen TV, settee, sofa and two accent chairs, wool handmade area rugs and an large bureau.

The finished tiled basement space had six windows with a total of about 40' (20'x2') square feet of light, three new replacement windows and three glass block windows, allowing sunlight from the West, South and East.
This is a furnished, private, cozy yet spacious 30 x 28 finished basement space in 100 year old Arts & Crafts home on Madison's near west side. Main room has a tile floor with wool area rugs, a comfortable queen bed with down pillows and comforter, a large dresser, a big closet area, a glass top desk nook, a loveseat couch and coffee table area. There is a storage pantry and single car garage accessed through the basement.

The kitchenette area in the basement has a small electric stove, large fridge, dining table and chairs, toaster & toaster oven, and all cooking appliances, dishwares and serving necessities are supplied. Bathroom is spacious with a glass block shower and new vanity, and all needed supplies.

There are two laundries in the house and the basement laundry area has xlarge washer and dryer. It has a concrete floor painted a soft gray with wool gray woven rugs. This area has a ceiling with exposed rafters and also houses the furnace, water heater and water softener. There is some extra storage in the attached pantry

The surrounding property is all mature trees and an intricate garden built over a 25 year period, a brick patio with comfortable patio furniture. An upper wood deck with outdoor dining table and chairs. There is street parking and one driveway space and room for one car ( or other storage) in the garage.

The house is located in one of the oldest residential neighborhood on the near west side of Madison, 3 block walk to UW Hospital, 8 blocks to Picnic Point, 12 blocks to UW Campus, 18 blocks to the downtown, 10 blocks to Lake Wingra. Vilas Park and the Henry Vilas Zoo and the Arboretum is less than a mile away and a nice walk through safe and friendly residential neighborhoods.

You can also walk six blocks to out local Regent Street Coop and The Heights coffee shop, or go the other direction and be at the best Italian restaurant in Madison - Lombardino's! 5-10 blocks to Regent/Monroe St, where you will find many locally owned and operated small businesses, great restaurants and coffee shops. If you run, we are eight blocks from Lake Mendota and Picnic Point. Going West one mile you will find Sundance Theaters, Whole Foods and shopping.
