My family and I spent a wonderful month at Martin's home. His house very comfortably accommodated my spouse and I and our two young children. We especially loved spending time in the beautiful garden and feeding the hens! The neighborhood in which his house is located is family-friendly and a short walking distance from the center of Oxford. Martin was a thoughtful host, and it was a pleasure renting from him. We had a wonderful experience in Martin's house in July of 2013. It is spacious, a lovely location and great for children (close to supermarkets, South Park, many buses). The garden is very pleasant and Martin very generously encouraged us to pick and eat whatever we wanted. The chickens were a bonus, provided fresh eggs every morning and required very little work on our part. There is plenty to read in the house. We would definitely come back! I had a lovely three week stay at Martin's home in Oxford. The house was as pictured and advertised, and I found it very convenient for a scholar working at the university (a quick bus ride to the center of town, or about a half hour walk). Martin was friendly and helpful throughout, and left a very detailed guide to the house and neighborhood (as well as many guidebooks for Oxford and the surrounding area!). The neighborhood was quiet, and many restaurants are within easy walking distance (as well as a Saturday farmers' market). Highly recommended! Excellent Jenna 7/27/2012 8:14:00 AM
