Heart of Paris: BR in 3-Room Typical Paris-Stylish Apt EUR1100/month

A wonderful neighborhood, in a charming 150 year old estate (restored, of course!) ; real center of Paris ; a BR in a 3-Room Apt well-equipped to share ; 1 fireplace/room ; nice original hardwood floors ; absolute privacy : typical Parisian neighborhood ; all public transportation close at hand as well as Le Louvre, Seine river, Île saint-Louis, Pompidou, Tuileries, Notre-Dame, Quartier latin...

1150EUR/month (1st Arrondissement, very close to Le Louvre museum).

To sublet: A 13,5m² charming and furnished bedroom w/double bed and marble fireplace (150 sq. feet approx.) + 2m² vestibule, in a 58 m2 apartment. The bedrooms are separated by the LR and thick stone walls (see pictures). Absolute privacy, well-equipped, w/unlimited free high-speed Wireless Internet (ADSL WiFi), and access to laser printer.

Ideally located for researchers, professionals and/or vacationers.

Preferably 2-3 month terms or longer, but negotiable.

Near La Sorbonne, Le Marais, Centre Pompidou, Bibliothèque Nationale Richelieu... all at 15 min. walk or less.

Typical Parisian neighborhood with cafés & terraces, market, two of the best Parisian bakeries, cheese dairies, butcher's shop, fish merchant, little supermarkets (organics, too), and a multiplex cinema (+30 screens / movies in original language).

LOTS of restaurants around, from traditional and affordable French bistrots or pizzerias or chinese to the top ("La Dame de Pic", Michelin 3-star chef Anne-Sophie Pic's restaurant, same corner.)

Bibliothèque Nationale Mitterrand direct by subway (line 13, 4 stations). M° Louvre-Rivoli (1 minute), Pont-Neuf or Châtelet (5 min).

Well-equipped kitchen, furnished LR/dining area, bathroom w/shower/tub, and “toilettes”. Washing machine. Free Wireless Internet (WIFI).

Seek mature English- or French- or German or Spanish speaking professional, professor or researcher or PhD student, who is used to sharing, respecting and negotiating common spaces and roommates. To share w/M53 French Canadian writer and lecturer at Smith's College residence in Paris, and with my little cat.

I'm a very sociable person, and I know Paris very well. I like to speak with the people I share the apt with, to help you make the most of your stay here. That makes a big difference with a standalone location. I can show you touristic areas, as well as less touristic ones. A good way to improve your French, if you want. But I'm fluent in English, German, and less fluent but improving myself in Spanish. If you prefer less interaction, that's no problem.

Do not hesitate to ask further for further details.

Available in June 2018. 1150€/month everything included (a bargain for the neighborhood!).

About Me
I'm a philosophy lecturer at the Paris section of Smith College (Mass.) and a regular contributor to the French weekly magazine Le Point. I also coordinate special editions dedicated to the history of thought (see links below). Mother tongue: French. Fluent in English, German, and Spanish. Born in Quebec city, I studied in Germany, then in France, where I got my PhD on German philosophy of history. I live in Paris since 1995. I like to speak with people having different mindset.
