About Me
I am a Visual/Conceptual Artist, University Professor of Design, Art and Visual Communication. I am also a curator for a local gallery here in South Pasadena. My studio is on the premises. The property is very centrally located, peaceful. A great place to relax and enjoy a break or concentrate on projects without interruption. My passion is travel, art and culture. I spend much time in Scandinavia and speak fluent Danish. Hvis der er nogen som kommer fra Danmark.. så kun vi godt taler sammen.. Dejligt!

This is a wonderful place to stay. Victoria is a terrific host. Both the house and neighborhood are lovely, and everything is convenient. I would definitely stay there again, and recommend to people looking for a quiet [apart from charming wild parrots] place to stay and work. Excellent FakeCanadian 6/11/2015 5:41:00 PM
This was a marvellous base for four months at the Huntington, beautifully designed, comfortable, and peaceful. Everything you need is there. Victoria is an ideal host, helpful and unobtrusive, so that you feel welcome but also independent. There is a private entrance and use of the garden is a great bonus. And there is a friendly dog. South Pasadena is fantastic for visitors. You can walk to Trader Joe's, excellent cafés, restaurants, used book store and galleries while the metro takes you to Old Pasadena bars or downtown LA. The energetic can get to the Huntington on public transport although I had a car most of the time. I hope to return and I thoroughly recommend it. Thank you Victoria. Victoria's studio suite was lovely: quiet, self-contained, and absolutely comfortable. It was conveniently located next to markets, restaurants, coffee shops, and a weekly farmer's market, yet was removed from the hustle-bustle of the main street. It was also an easy commute (by light rail/walk) to the Huntington Library. I stayed a month, and would stay there again. Excellent Kat 1/15/2015 11:52:00 AM
I stayed in Victoria's home between June and July 2014. I was conducting research at The Huntington Library, San Marino. My stay at the property was absolutely fantastic. The room was comfortable, well-ventilated, spacious and private. Victoria offers complete privacy to those staying in the room, choosing to engage with her tenants as much as he or she is comfortable with. During my stay I was finishing final revisions on my PhD--I was a tad stressed. After working at The Huntington during the day, Victoria's room provided a wonderful resting place. Also, given that tenants have access to laundry it makes longer stays more comfortable.

Nearby places of interest: Trader Joe's is a two-minute walk away; a gas station is a five-minute walk away; a gym (Snap Fitness) is fifteen minutes away; various other shops, supermarkets, cafes (Starbucks/Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf), second-hand bookstores are also within walking distance.

I had a car during my stay, meaning Pasadena was a short drive away. I think you might be able to get the bus. Pasadena has everything you might want, including a Whole Foods, 24 hour fitness, various restaurants, shops, cafes ect.

Most important: I would ABSOLUTELY stay here again.

I stayed in Victoria's home for 3 months. It was a really lovely stay - the room is nice, spacious and clean. It opens right into the backyard which is really nice (especially in Southern California weather), where her super cute corgi Luna is. Victoria takes good care of the place and makes sure you have everything, she's a very considerate landlord. It's truly a lovely place to stay! Excellent karenxcheng 12/16/2013 2:22:00 PM
