Casa Guayacan
Casa Guayacan is a private home with a two bedroom apartment (and a private entrance) in a rural and tranquil setting 8 minutes to San Juan del Sur.
The neighborhood is mostly a local community with scattered homes built by foreigners. It is quiet and on a cul de sac road limiting traffic. There are pastures for cattle, dense forested areas, a baseball/soccer field, local panaderia and local shop with the basics.
Overall very low key, tranquil and safe.
The home is named after the Guayacan tree (lignum vitae) which translates as the tree of life. It is one of the hardest woods in the world and so dense that it does not float. A number of Guayacan trees adorn the property and will be appreciated by generations to come. The blossoms are beautiful and the seeds attract toucans as a favorite food.
