two bedroom in Boerum Hill with huge private roof deck

Our spacious apartment occupies the entire second floor of a four-story brick co-op building, which boasts flowering plants around its entrance and is situated on a charming street in Boerum Hill. The apartment overall has an agreeable, homey atmosphere; the living room is very sunny, with windows facing south.
It contains a large dinner table and sofa, along with a quality upright piano in good working order. The kitchen and bathroom both have ample counter and storage space. The first bedroom has lots of closet space, a queen size bed, and a built-in desk. The second bedroom is currently being used as additional workspace but can easily be outfitted with a full size bed. This apartment is fully furnished with linens and towels for your use. The photos are a bit out of date - the apartment is a little less cluttered with personal belongings now.

Dishwasher, high speed wireless internet connection, TV, washer dryer in basement.

We also have an amazing private roof deck, accessible from the main staircase above the fourth floor. It is large, about 500 square feet, with table and chairs, sofa, lounges and grill. It is perfect for evening drinks or entertaining and you can watch the sun set over the Brooklyn rooftops.

We will re-occupy on March 8th so while there is a little bit of flexibility on dates of a few days in either direction, this rental will not be extended past that date. There is a refundable security deposit of $3500. Utilities not included.

State Street is a classic Brooklyn tree-lined street, quiet and picturesque, and it has made local news because of the extent to which inhabitants dress up the fronts of their homes with plants and flowers in the Spring and Summer. This tradition was started by one of our coop neighbors.

Boerum Hill is between Brooklyn Heights, Cobble Hill and Gowanus; 2 blocks to Hoyt/Schermerhorn stop on A/C train, also walkable to F, N/R, 4/5. Landmark downtown Brooklyn locations are within walking distance: the Brooklyn Academy of Music opera house and cinema; the Brooklyn Promenade; Fort Greene Park and its Saturday farmer's market, Smith St. restaurants. The antique shops and Middle Eastern groceries and restaurants of Atlantic Avenue are a step away. The neighborhood is also one of the most racially and culturally diverse in the city.
All the subway lines are within walking distance, and average travel time to downtown Manhattan is 20 minutes. Midtown and uptown Manhattan can be reached by express subway lines in 30 - 45 minutes. It is also easy to hail yellow taxis making their way back into Manhattan on nearby Flatbush Avenue.

About Me
I am a half Italian, half American visual artist and educator. I spent my childhood summers in Radicondoli, and this lovely apartment was left to my siblings and me by our late father. We only use it occasionally, since we all live in different cities and countries. We are happy to see it visited while we are not there, by responsible and respectful professionals who appreciate the charms of our beloved village of Radicondoli.
