A beautifully renovated 2 story Japanese traditional house

A beautifully renovated 60 Sqm, 2 story house, located in a quit allay near the great Fushimi Inari Shrine, one of Kyoto's most famous Shinto Shrines. The house is 5 minutes walk from 2 main train lines - "Keihan" and "JR". It takes 5 minutes train ride to central Kyoto, 50 minutes to Nara, 40 minutes to Osaka.

The surrounding neighborhood is beautiful and welcoming, occupied by small shops offering Kyoto's culinary specialties, local restaurants, street stalls, as well as smaller Buddhist Temples and Shrines. The house location is great for those who love morning mountain walks up Fushimi Inari.

The house itself is fully furnished, including high speed internet and bicycles. The 1st floor has the entry hall, kitchen, dining room, and bathroom; in the second room there are two bed rooms and sun balcony. The house is specious and sunny, parking at the front.

This was a fabulous house for my family! The neighborhood has lots of kids, and friendly neighbors. The local school (Kinrin) was very warm and welcoming (including services such as tutoring) to my 1-nensei daughter who started out speaking almost no Japanese and ended up with great friends and some Japanese language. The location is convenient to many great places (the river, Diamonji and other hiking in the city, and many cultural and historical areas). A bike made them all very accessible.

The owner is very responsive to e-mails and quite helpful when setting up logistics. The local manager was also very fast to respond to questions. Both were also very kind and friendly.

I would recommend hot water bottles for sleeping in the winter as the tatami mat room is cold at night. They made all the difference for us.

I would rent this house again in a heartbeat. It was simply great! We were very sad to leave...
