Spacious two-bedroomed apartment in Leiden

We had the pleasure of residing in this delightful apartment in Leiden from September 2022 to January 2023, and again from March to June 2023. We cannot express our appreciation enough for the excellent accommodation/hospitality provided by Carol. The location is superb, being conveniently situated close to the central station and the city center. The apartment itself is very well-equipped and comes with all the listed amenities. This ensured that we had everything we needed to make our long-term stay feel like home. It is apparent that Carol has put a lot of thought into making the space comfortable and functional for her guests. She was always available and quick to respond to our messages. Our experience was nothing short of excellent.

Carol & Daniele are the most wonderful landlady & landlord I could have imagined. The same applies to the apartment (and the balcony and the tranquillity and the art and ... you name it). The house was clean, tidy and very well-organized. It is located close to both a park and the center of Leiden. From the apartment you can enjoy a very nice view of the city. The heating was very well functioning, and this is very important during winter. We spent almost two months there just before the pandemic began, and I was convinced I already wrote this review, but as I cannot see it I am posting it again. Carol was kind, clear and nice to us. We really felt like being at our own home. We also used the bycicles so that we were two true Leideners for a few days! We will back as soon as we can.

I could not have asked for kinder and more responsive hosts. I loved the apartment, which is in a very well maintained building within a 5-minute walk of a well-stocked grocery store, and 15 minutes walk to the historic centre of Leiden. The 180-degree view facing the west includes seven church spires and a working windmill, and regularly features a spectacular sunset. I was charmed by the location in a very green, eco and kid-friendly neighbourhood. Also, to top it off, a lovely glass-enclosed balcony. I will miss this apartment after my 4-month stay.

My husband and I spent a wonderful 3 months living in Carol's place in Leiden - the apartment was larger and more beautiful than expected, stunning views out the large windows and from the balcony, and perfectly located a short walk or bike ride into the city. We could not have been happier with the place and the location. Carol was great, easy to communicate with, flexible and understanding with coordination we were arranging from overseas. We were able to use bikes provided to enjoy the city and surroundings. Leiden is such a lovely location - I was working in Amsterdam at the time, but it was a straightforward and pleasant commute, and the apartment is well located, close enough to everything but still quiet. Would happily return!

I stayed at this gorgeous apartment in Leiden for almost 2 months. It was fantastic! The apartment included everything I needed and more - it was spacious, with great living and working areas. I particularly loved the little balcony - coffee/drinks on the deck before/after work was just perfect. The location of the flat is great - it's close to the city, but also a reasonable bike ride to other university areas (Leiden Bioscience Park etc). The homeowner kindly allowed me to use her bike - this was a real plus in a city as cycle friendly as Leiden. I loved my stay here - I hope to be able to return in the future. I highly recommend this apartment and its owners.

Great homeowner, kind and helpful. We tenants are even provided with a sort of manual short enough to be easily and carefully read without effort but fully comprehensive as well, so you have the solution for every problem quite at hand. In addition Adrienne, who lives next door, was able to provide friendly help with any queries. The apartment is comfortable, warm, cosy and spacious for the three of us. There is everything you may need for your stay. In addition the drawing room is really lovely, in sunny afternoon light pours through the large windows and we could enjoy the view which includes one of the ancient mills still present in Leiden. You can enjoy lovely sunsets and even the city lights if you stay up late. Two large desks are available that allow you to write, read, and work at your computer comfortably. As for the neighborhood, it is well situated and the transport links are formidable. There is a grocery store and some eateries nearby, but just at walk distance ten minutes away we could easily go to the city center where shops, brasseries, museums, University offices and Institutes are located. A positive experience, we all agree with.

We stayed for four month in Carol and Daniele's apartment. The apartment itself exceeded our expectations, it was spacious, recent, well equipped, and conveniently located. As for the renters, we could not have hoped for better. Carol and Daniele were always available when needed, trusting and trustworthy. We strongly recommend them and their apartment.
