Fab riverview apt -- 3 beds/ 2 bath in the heart of Lisbon

Urban oasis -- home away from home. Sun-drenched and newly renovated apartment occupies entire floor of building in St. Engracia, one of Lisbon’s most traditional neighborhoods. The apartment is within walking-distance of the beautiful Alfama neighborhood and many of Lisboa's attractions. The bus that goes to both the St. Apolonia and the Cais do Sodre train and subway stations stops just around the street corner.

The apartment has three bedrooms -- each sleeps two -- and two full bathrooms. It also features a fully equipped kitchen with a bar and an open dining and living which opens to a private balcony with stunning river views. This is the ideal place to enjoy a morning coffee, or a sun-downer, and anything in between. And it is actually close enough to the river that you can see the waves brake, and it is far enough from the main streets that you can hear the birds chirping. There is another balcony on the other side of the apartment to which all bedrooms have access.

One bedroom has a king-size bed, the other has a queen. The third bedroom has a single bed that can open into a double bed; it also has a desk.

For infants and toddlers we also have a baby crib, which fits in either of the large bedrooms. If you require a baby crib, please let us know when booking.

Both bathrooms have a shower; the larger bathroom also has a bathtub.

The kitchen is fully equipped (regular-size stove, dishwasher and large fridge, espresso machine and electric water cattle, pots and pans, plates and cutlery) and also has a laundry machine. The laundry can be air dried outside, or on a rainy day on a rack inside.

St. Engracia is off the beaten tracks of tourists, yet within walking distance of Alfama and many of the city's attractions. The atmosphere of the neighborhood is characterized by the traditional way of life of Lisbon’s inhabitants. Come and see for yourself! We are sure you will fall in love with the way of life of this city and country: It's simple but by no means simplistic.

Within a few minutes walk from the apartment is an indoor food market, where the Portuguese go for fresh produce, as well as a super market, bakery and pharmacy.

The best way to get to the apartment from the airport is by taxi or Uber, both of which are inexpensive in Lisbon. The ride is about 20 minutes and should cost no more than about EUR 15. The exact charges depend on time, luggage, etc.

Street parking is available for free.

Within a short walking distance of about 2 minutes you get to the bus stop for the 206 line (Cais do Sodre station -- Sr. Roubado) and for the 735 line (Cais do Sodre station -- St Maria Hospital), and in 12 minutes by foot you reach the Santa Apolonia train and subway station.

The Cais do Sodre station also runs trains trains along the coast to Cascais and its beaches; the Santa Apolonia station runs trains up North to Oporto.
