About Me
I am a designer/publisher and also lecture on design/architecture/history with particular reference to Sir Christopher Wren and his associates. I travel extensively and have spent much of my life in India, Asia, Australia and North America. However I remain an avid lover of London and firmly believe in Samuel Johnson's opinion 'If you are tired of London you are tired of Life'!

Everything the other reviews say is true and more. I had the unique fortune of staying in this flat in the first half of 2020. As the whole entire world went into crisis, I was able to maintain a sense of peace and joy in this charming flat. It is so cozy and comfortable, the grand piano was a huge source of delight, sunshine streams in from the east, south and then west in the course of the day thanks to all the windows (and there was month after month of amazing weather which I did not expect!), and the flat is merely one train stop away from Borough Market - the happiest place on earth as far as I am concerned. Alexander is a wonderful host. The place was not only impeccably clean the night I arrived, the sheets were nice and fragrant without being overly perfumy. You would be lucky to get to experience this flat!! Excellent Hong Kong anthropologist 7/18/2020 7:05:00 PM
My husband and I stayed in this flat for a month while I led a study abroad group in London. It was just wonderful - charming, private, and comfortable flat with easy transportation access. Best of all, it's in a verdant residential neighborhood, with nice jogging paths and Southwark Park nearby - we really settled in didn't want to leave! Alexander is a great contact - easy to get in touch with, responded quickly to all issues, and negotiated a couple of extra days at the end of our trip, when our stay was unexpectedly extended. I couldn't recommend this flat more highly! Excellent Genevieve 7/18/2018 8:49:00 AM
I stayed here for 5 weeks and it is amazing! The flat is comfortable, the space utilized well, great location too. Alexander is easy to communicate with, and met me at the flat too. The bed is great, and I slept well. I would stay again, and highly recommend the flat . Excellent Tosca 4/28/2018 1:04:00 PM
My partner and I had the pleasure of renting this flat for 2 weeks. Our host was very pleasant and left a lot of literature for us to peruse along with some Bread, butter and tea and a lovely note as we arrived late. When I met our host the next day he told me how to get around by rail, etc and I thoroughly enjoyed our conversation. He was accessible in making our stay very easy by explaining how the washer worked, etc.

The flat was exactly as described. Very cozy and beautifully appointed. It was clean and neat and had everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable and everything worked to our satisfaction. I would highly recommend this flat. It’s very close to the south Bermondsey rail and in a good safe neighborhood. Easy access to Central London by tube, rail or bus. I would most definitely rent this flat again. Jan Harland

My husband and I stayed at this property for two weeks upon our relocation to London, while we sought long term accommodation. The apartment is very well maintained, beautifully presented, with a modern kitchen and bathroom, and in a safe area. In terms of location, the suburb is well connected to public transport options (including the bus, tube, and overground). It is fairly small, so it would suit a single person better if staying longer term, but is fine for a two people for several weeks. We found the landlord extremely easy to deal with and all of our enquiries were answered promptly. We had a really lovely stay and would highly recommend this apartment.
