Spacious Fitzrovia apartment ideally situated for central London universities

OVERVIEW

In a sandstone block dating from 1910, this bright, luxurious flat has a very distinct atmosphere. Situated close to Charlotte and Oxford Streets in the heart of London’s West End, its calm aesthetic allows for a restful and productive stay.

It’s also within easy walking distance to the British Museum and the numerous colleges of Bloomsbury, including UCL, Birkbeck, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and SOAS. Comprehensive local transport links also ensure that most other London colleges are easily accessible.

FEATURES

Fully renovated just 4 years ago, the apartment’s beautifully finished environment fully reflects the building and wider local area and has been described as an inner city sanctuary.

Underfloor heating controlled by individual thermostats is fitted throughout.

The kitchen is fully equipped with electric hob and oven, dishwasher, washing machine/dryer, fridge and Quooker hot water tap to provide boiling water on demand. There is also a good selection of basic cooking ingredients.

The large double bed has goose down pillows and duvet and all the linen and towels are top quality Egyptian cotton.

The small second bedroom has a single bed.

The lounge/dining area is very spacious and has a sofa and upholstered window-seat, as well as desk area with stationary and printer. The dining area seats 4 comfortably and there are 2 additional dining chairs.

The bathroom is fitted with a shower over a 3/4 sized tub.

There is high speed Internet. A Sonos sound system allows guests to play radio or music from their own library.

A maximum of 3 guests can sleep in the apartment at any one time.

There is a large communal roof terrace.

Please note that apartment has no television or air conditioning.

INTERACTION WITH GUESTS

We'll be there to meet you and show you around upon arrival. We'll also be contactable by phone and e-mail throughout your stay. A weekly change of fresh linen and towels is provided through your stay.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT

The closest tube stations are Goodge Street (Northern Line), Tottenham Court Road (Northern and Central Lines) and Oxford Street (Central, Victoria and Bakerloo Lines). Euston Station is a 15-minute walk and King’s Cross St Pancras is just 20 minutes by foot.

PARKS & SQUARES

Bloomsbury is known for its garden squares and it’s worth checking out Russell, Bedford, Tavistock and Gordon Squares, all of which are within easy reach of the apartment. Regent’s Park is roughly a 15-minute walk away, with Primrose Hill just a little further beyond.

SUPERMARKETS

Sainsbury’s and Tesco can be found around the corner on Goodge Street, while Marks and Spencer and Waitrose are a short walk away on Tottenham Court Road. There are two branches of Planet Organic nearby, on Torrington Place and Tottenham Court Road, both of which are a great resource for health foods and speciality groceries.

The farmers' market in Marylebone is held every Sunday from 10am and is just a 15 minute walk.

HOUSE RULES

There are few house rules, but we do respectfully ask that you take your shoes off upon entering the apartment. Slippers are provided.

There is strictly no smoking allowed in the apartment, although you may smoke on the shared rooftop terrace. Additionally:

Not suitable for pets;

No parties or events;

May not be safe or suitable for children (0-12 years);

You will be staying in a small apartment block with many permanent residents. Please respect others' needs for privacy and quiet.
