Bright Spacious 2-Bed - Former Victorian School East London

Our place is a two-bedroom apartment in a converted Victorian School Building with huge windows and very high ceilings. The spacious main living area/kitchen gets beautiful light in the morning. Although the building is just off busy Hackney Road, the street itself is very quiet. The view from the windows through a leafy tall sycamore is of modernist icon Keeling House with Canary Wharf in the distance. The apartment is bright, airy and calm. There are writing desks in both bedrooms. It is excellently located for London’s tourist attractions and it is possible to walk to many of the city’s universities.

There is one large double bedroom and one smaller one - both have double beds up on raised platforms reached by ladder. It sleeps 4 comfortably (sharing doubles) and we can also leave a blow-up double mattress and bedding if you have extra people for some part of the stay or kids needing separate beds.

We are on the second floor of a tall building and there is no lift. Not suitable for wheelchairs unfortunately.

Broadway Market is a short walk away over the canal. Thriving cafés, pubs, restaurants, organic veg shops, Market Day on Saturdays.

Columbia Road Flower Market (Sundays)
Small independent gift shops, bookshops, nice pubs and restaurants – very picturesque old London streets, 5 mins walk away.

London Fields Lido for outdoor swims.

Shoreditch & Hoxton
Brick Lane for Banglatown curry restaurants and old Spitalfields are also nearby. Plenty of galleries and nightlife in around Kingsland Road and Hoxton.

Central London
Soho/Covent Garden are a 10 minute tube journey on the Central Line from Bethnal Green station (10 mins walk away)

Green Spaces nearby include London Fields, Haggerston Park (with Hackney City Farm), Victoria Park, all within very short walking distance.

Buses 55, 48, 26 right outside on Hackney Road (connect you to main rail stations Liverpool St, Waterloo, London Bridge; and Central London)

She is a supremely trustworthy person with lashings of integrity, and stylish to boot - as reflected in her beautiful Pimlico apartment; all white with high ceilings and Regency plasterwork, decorated with her Scandinavian eye for simplicity. A very homely place to live, with traditional furniture and original artworks on the walls, and 5 mins walk to Victoria Station on London's fastest Tube line, the Victoria Line.'
