About Me
I am a lecturer in the School of English and Drama at Queen Mary University of London. I work on historical cultures of theatre spectatorship and emotion, and current multicultural and international modes of reception and response. I travel frequently with work. My postdoctoral fellowship was spent in Perth and Sydney at the Australian Research Council's Centre of Excellence for the History of Emotions. I am currently writing a book about the audience responses to the Hamlet World Tour staged by Shakespeare's Globe from 2014-2016, which I accompanied in the Pacific, East Asia, Middle East and Europe. I speak French and Italian and some basic Arabic.
