Furnished 1.5-bed Victorian conversion in beautiful Tufnell Park
Our fully furnished home is available over the summer while we are on sabbatical in the US.
The apartment is on the top (second) floor of a converted Victorian terrace. We refurbished it from top to bottom and maintain it meticulously. There is central heating throughout, with mostly white walls, modern furnishings and hardwood floors in the living spaces and bedroom. The apartment features traditional sash windows with shutters at the front and is light and airy.
The accommodation consists of a large living and dining area, bathroom, kitchen, bedroom and entrance hall, with the entrance door on the first floor of the building for extra privacy. The living room can be closed off to create a guest space or to separate the living and dining areas.
The galley kitchen is kitted out with electric fan oven, gas hobs, microwave, washing machine and dishwasher as well as tableware, cookware and a number of small appliances and gadgets. The dining room offers a dining table with four chairs, desk and printer, bookshelves and drawer space as well as a wine rack. The living room is furnished with sofa, armchair, bookshelves and television; the sofa also converts easily into a comfortable bed. As mentioned above, the living and dining rooms can be divided. The quiet, south-facing bedroom features a king-size bed, built-in wardrobe and drawer space and overlooks extensive gardens to the rear of the property (though these are not accessible). The bathroom contains a walk-in shower, toilet, sink and heated towel rail.
The rent includes central heating, utilities, high-speed internet, towels and bed linen and a mandatory weekly cleaning service. Please note that access is via stairs and the apartment is strictly non-smoking.
Tufnell Park is a typical North London neighbourhood offering leafy suburban living. The apartment is a two-minute walk away from a convenience store and local gastropub the Tufnell Park Tavern. Tufnell Park and the adjacent areas of Kentish Town and Holloway boast a range of amenities including shopping, bakeries, cinemas and many cafés, pubs and restaurants. The expansive greenery of Hampstead Heath is within easy walking distance, as are the villages of Hampstead and Highgate.
A bus route passes the door of the apartment, while the nearest Underground stations are Tufnell Park (Northern Line) and Holloway Road (Piccadilly Line), offering speedy connections to central London and all London airports (Heathrow Airport is roughly an hour away). Kentish Town and Finsbury Park railway stations are within easy reach.
