About Me
London - a fabulous city - my home for more than 40 years. As a retired university lecturer, now I write about the arts, museum exhibitions, and individual artist/craftspeople in London. My husband is also retired and together we enjoy meeting academics and researchers who rent our flat. We think our neighbourhood is special - quiet & friendly. Plus there is the luxury of green open spaces: Hampstead Heath, Highgate Cemetery, Kenwood & Waterlow Park - a country atmosphere in an urban environment. Our tenants enjoy living in this area - with its easy access to Central London attractions, multiple universities, the British Library - plus endless cultural assets at your fingertips. And if you feel like a weekend in Paris, the Eurostar is only a 10 minute ride on the Underground - a quick & easy way to visit Europe

This flat and the landlords were everything I could have hoped for and more. Everything I needed was in the flat from cooking and eating utensils to cleaning supplies to extra bedding for the sofa-bed; the few times there were hiccups the landlords were very prompt, attentive, and effective (in addition to being very interesting people). A friend visiting from Cambridge was very jealous. Despite two heavy spring snows the flat was consistently cozy and warm. The location is near two convenient bus stops, two Tube stations on the Northern Line, and was ideal for commuting to Bloomsbury, all the Central London sights when my husband visited for a week, and Cambridge via King's Cross. In addition to Hampstead Heath of course, there is a range of nice pubs, cafes, and grocers nearby. Excellent Marissa 3/26/2018 3:59:00 PM
I just returned home from four months in this wonderful flat. It is quiet, very comfortable, well maintained by the fabulous couple who own the home, and has everything one would need. (It is also much roomier than the pictures indicate!) Neighborhood is beautiful with good pubs and other shops, near the wonderful space of Hampstead Heath, and yet has easy access to the whole of the city via Tube and bus. I was in London as part of a one semester study abroad program, and wish I could return to the Spring. It is a fabulous place at an excellent price with attentive landlords...heartily recommended! This apartment is a gem in London. I spent four months here, and thoroughly enjoyed all of it. The apartment is in a stunning historic house, is very secure, and comfortable. Everything one might need to be comfortable (towels, pots, etc) is already there. While London accommodation tends to be small, this apartment is both spacious and good value, too. In terms of location, it's a good balance of an easy commute to the city on the Northern line (with two routes through the city) and proximity to parks. I'm actually not sure how I'm going to live without my regular outings to Hampstead Heath (swimming ponds, farmer's market and general beauty)! Finally, the landlords are delightful, kind, and interesting. This apartment is a winner. Excellent Suzanne Harkins 8/27/2017 6:18:00 AM
This is a lovely place to stay. The flat is well maintained and comfortable. It is in a quiet neighbourhood, close to beautiful parks and within easy distance (by tube and bus) of central London. The landlords are attentive, friendly and kind. Excellent SG 4/5/2017 3:11:00 PM
I stayed in this cosy apartment for nine months (part of it with my husband) and was extremely pleased. Location is excellent, close to Hampstead Heath (great opportunities for outdoor activities) as well as public transport. The apartment is very functional and has everything that you may need. The landlords are really friendly, helpful and responsive. Quality-price ratio in this apartment is very good and I am happy to recommend it. Excellent Marja Tiilikainen 1/24/2017 10:28:00 AM
