My family stayed at this flat in Notting Hill in early December. We had a delightful time and it was perfect for us Australians. My wife and I had our 18 year old son and 14 year old daughter and the amenities and position were perfect for us Australians - # great pubs with good food within 200 metres. I would recommend it for anyone in a similar position to us – wishing to spend a week or so in London from overseas.

We stayed at this beautiful apartment in the heart of Notting Hill from early May until early July 2104 and fell in love with both the home and the area. Suzanne is an extremely thoughtful host and as we were traveling with our young daughter we particularly found having a wonderfully set-up kitchen a huge bonus. The apartment is spacious and light, despite it being on the lower ground floor. The main bedroom has the most comfortable, large double bed which we found very hard to leave! The second bedroom in well appointed with two single beds and for some weeks my mother shared this room very comfortably with our young daughter. There are two bathrooms, a bonus. One has a bath and toilet and there is a second separate toilet. There is also an ensuite shower with excellent water pressure off the main bedroom. One of the great joys of the apartment is the extraordinary library of books and CD’s that line the hallway, truly a music lovers paradise and a very good stereo on which to appreciate it. And outside - accessible from the main bedroom and the back hallway - is a open patio area where you can sit and have a drink in the evening or a good safe play area for children.
The apartment is a short stroll to Portobello markets where we did most of our grocery shopping, there is an excellent butcher in the neighbourhood as well as many great places to eat and some lovely wine bars. There is a major Waitrose supermarket within walking distance and you are close to a number of tube lines and buses. It’s a very easy place from which to get to most areas of London.
We loved our stay here and appreciated the generosity and ease of dealing directly with Suzanne. We most definitely plan to stay here again!

Our 3 month stay was wonderful. The flat was the ideal refuge from the city whilst being close to all that Notting Hill and London have to offer. We would agree with everything positive the previous tenants have said. I would like to emphasize how great it is to not only have a large library of contemporary literature but also to have at one's finger tips an impressive collection of history, travel and cooking books. We love music and it was a joy to explore some of the equally large selection of CD's on the B&O stereo.
Not only does the flat have everything a small family of 3 like ours might need, it is impeccably maintained by Suzanne and her housekeeper. Could not recommend this flat enough.

My husband and I stayed in Suzanne's beautiful flat for four months while I taught in London. The location, just north of Kensington Gardens, a ten-minute walk from Portobello Market and Notting Hill, and central to tubes, buses, grocery stores, and great restaurants, made it the perfect place to call home for the semester. The flat is lovely, quiet, modern, and very comfortable. Suzanne was wonderful to work with, generous with her suggestions for places to visit and always willing to help if we had problems, which we didn't. The flat and the crescent are beautifully maintained. We had a splendid time in London and hope to return soon for another extended stay.

We stayed in this flat in Notting Hill for two weeks. As a family of four from Australia we found the flat fantastic in every dimension. The location is perfect, walking distance to Portobello Road and other shopping areas, and close to trains and buses. The space in the flat was fantastic as our children are both teenagers, pretty unexpected for London from what we had heard. The bathroom situation including the second toilet was a real bonus. Given the weather last December was unusually cold we found the flat extremely comfortable and warm. We would highly recommend the flat to anyone wanting a real Notting Hill experience.

Our time here has been absolutely amazing and we have had a family Christmas that we will never forget (and hopefully we will be able to do it again in the future). We also wanted to thank you for opening your flat up to us, it is a lovely home and the local area and community is extremely special. We feel privileged to have stayed here. Thank you for your hospitality and friendliness. You have made everything extremely simple for us during the entire process.

I am delighted to be a reference for Suzanne and her wonderful flat. I recently rented the flat with a colleague while attending a conference in London. We were both delighted and found the flat extremely comfortable, spotlessly clean and wonderfully comfortable. The location makes one feel a local immediately. While very accessible to transportation the location is a wonderfully quiet and charming crescent removed from the tourist path. A two block walk and you have access to great bistros and pastry shops and an array of restaurants. We never had trouble finding a taxi but chose to walk to most of our venues. The Wallace Collection, the site of our conference was a delightful 30 minute stroll. As for the comforts of the flat, we both found the beds extremely comfortable and the long and deep tub in the bathroom was a great treat. The hot water was quick and plentiful. The kitchen appliances are modern and functional and the television and stereo equipment state of the art. I may never use a hotel again. For the price of a hotel, you have triple the space and the charm of a residential neighborhood. We gave it 5 stars.

We really loved our two-week stay in this apartment. The two-bedroom flat had everything we needed and was in an excellent location. There was great equipment to cook with in the kitchen and the beds were very comfortable. Even though the flat is down from the street level, there was a lot of cheerful light from the front windows and from the inner courtyard in the back. Having three separate full or half bathrooms was a surprising luxury, as was the wall of books, guide books, and music CDs! We were here for the Notting Hill Carnival which takes over the neighborhood - we loved being able to go watch the parades but then come back to our homey flat to rest! We would definitely stay in Suzanne's home again, given the opportunity! Excellent CS 9/25/2018 1:39:00 PM
My wife and I stayed in St Stephens Crescent in early 2015 for eight weeks. We had a splendid time there and cannot recommend this flat enough. We also agree with everything positive the previous reviewers said. We absolutely loved the area with its great restaurants, pubs and shopping opportunities. The flat is tranquille, cozy, bright (despite its basement location) and - thanks to Kasia the wonderful housekeeper – spotlessly clean. Overall, we enjoyed our stay there very much and have nothing but fond memories of it. Thanks to Suzanne for being such a perfect host! Excellent Karsten Hank 7/15/2015 3:19:00 AM
This was my second visit to St. Stephen's Crescent, and I had a wonderful month. Suzanne is amazingly attentive and helpful, the flat is safe, convenient to everything, and very comfortable. Thank you Suzanne for making this visit so easy! I look forward to returning soon. Excellent Erica Bastress-dukehart 7/12/2015 9:59:00 AM
We enjoyed a week’s stay at this very comfortable apartment. It is in a great position being close to great restaurants and shops, yet it was extremely quiet and we felt very safe. Suzanne was extremely professional and helpful throughout all our dealings. Thank you. Excellent Catherine 1/30/2015 10:28:00 PM
Our family rented this delightful flat over the Thanksgiving holiday. I faced cooking a Thanksgiving feast in a strange kitchen in London with a bit of trepidation... but practically within a day of renting the flat, I received an amazing and generous list from Suzanne of every great butcher, pie shop and green grocer within a 5 or 10 mile radius (complete with phone numbers and tips on who delivered). On Thanksgiving day, a pecan pie arrived as a gift. We couldn't have asked for a more considerate host. The flat is located on a beautiful Georgian crescent in Westbourne Grove, which is at once quiet and centrally located, with two tube stops nearby. Suzanne's neighbor kept an eye out for anything we might need and valiantly loaned us a carving knife and a platter. The flat is very comfortable and our 23 year-old son had his own room nicely situated for privacy. We were all quite bowled over by the flat's extensive and intelligent book and CD collection, including a lot of London guidebooks unavailable in the US. Having a wonderful library made the flat quite homey though the decor is somewhat minimalist. It was a perfect base for exploring London. We would return in a heartbeat!
