Reduced rent for beautiful home: NW1, 6 months in London, thru Jan 2021.

House with garden makes social distancing so much nicer and this house and garden is a charming, comfortable, quiet reserve. It is also well situated in best times for transportation to every part of London and beyond and even at this time it is walkable distance to everything necessary.
It is fully and tastefully furnished. The front door nestles behind a small private garden in a pretty crescent at the edge of a well-designed and nicely maintained complex. It is my home which I prepare by clearing closets and cupboards of everything except what will be useful to a visitor: dinnerware, linens for bed, bath and kitchen, cooking accessories, small and large appliances, garden furniture. It is not cluttered but it does contain everything one needs for gracious living.
We are within walking distance of British Library, King's Cross Station , St. Pancras International Station Euro-Star, Camden Town Tube and Camden Road overground, DLR connection, Crick Center and the many shopping and entertainment facilities of the new Kings Cross Redevelopment area. Our area is also served by a rich network of buses, pleasant walking and cycle paths.
The entire house has been recently redecorated. Wood flooring predominates with ceramic tiles in bathroom and kitchen and Persian carpets in the reception areas.
We have private gardens front and back. The front garden has its own gate, trellises and path. The back garden is secluded, leafy and furnished with fine wrought iron furniture, vines, window boxes, a shed and lots of blossom.
Our house is an easy walk away from the bustle of high street and the famous canal-side market while mercifully far enough away to make our immediate neighborhood truly serene in general and practically free of traffic by vehicles or pedestrians. Walking safely distanced is no trick. It is close to normal here. We are, however, near shops and to the canal towpath leading to the Kings Cross Boat Basin and all the beauty, convenience and pleasures of the new developments in this totally transformed area with well-planned walking, shopping, dining and entertainment experiences. so soon as they reopen. Going west, people love to walk or cycle along the towpath to Regent's Park and on even to Little Venice.
Modern eat-in kitchen has dishwasher, clothes washer, microwave, various small appliances and a polished table and chairs for meals . The bedroom has an excellent queen bed and small desk. The study has a substantial desk and small bed. The walls are decorated with fine prints and drawings, mainly of the 18th Century.
All heating, plumbing and appliances are new or in up to date condition.
Perfect for a couple or single person. It is always praised for being particularly attractive, convenient and peaceful.
Rent INCLUDES absolutely all fees, taxes and utilities except long distance telephone charges. I will request a security deposit to be returned at the end of your visit and that rents are paid promptly as we may arrange together. FYI: I have been so fortunate never to have had to assess anyone for damage. Rather I have always been happy to return security deposits in full.

We are American academics with a little house in London. We like a peaceful quiet place and garden near good research facilities, good ttransportation and a place that is tasteful and interesting in some way. We like our proximity to the Canal and the Coal Dump Yards behind King's Cross -- a marvelous urban initiative very beautifully realized from an aethetic, social, educational and environmental standpoints. We have easy access to all the theaters and museums of London as well as fast trains to many places throughout the UK and the Continent.
