London 2 Bedroom/Office Flat - Dartmouth Park NW5

This is a bright flat that occupies the top floor (two flights up) of a converted, double fronted, detached Victorian house. It has two bedrooms/office, kitchen, living room, 1.5 baths, laundry room, roof terrace, and a large wide entry hall. All the rooms have sloping ceilings that range from 5 feet to 12 feet in height. The flat is on two levels. The entry level has the half bath-laundry room and the second bedroom/office. Down three stairs, the lower level has the living room, kitchen, main bedroom, and full bath. The flat is carpeted throughout except for the kitchen and baths. Hi speed Internet and wireless are provided. An efficient gas-fired boiler provides hot water and central heating.

All rooms lead off the central entry hall which has a coat closet and an airing cupboard. A built-in light oak cabinet unit has a china hutch with lower cabinets, drawers and shelving. Also there is a stereo with CD, tape, radio, and iPod capabilities. A secretary desk is located along another wall. Off the hall is a half bath with toilet and sink. It also serves as a laundry room with a washer and dryer and cabinets.

The kitchen has modern appliances and is very attractive. It has the normal small appliances along with a dishwasher, microwave, food processor, electric kettle, and espresso coffee maker. The cabinets, counters and shelving are of medium dark oak. All major appliances are built-in including the refrigerator which is fronted with oak doors. Counter space is very adequate. There is a built-in table for dining and speakers for the stereo.

The living room is furnished with a couch, two chairs, end table, coffee table and high definition TV. There is a decorative Victorian fireplace and a second set of speakers for the stereo. A sliding glass door leads to the roof terrace.

The roof terrace is very private and includes a patio table and chairs and a storage cupboard. It has leafy views toward Highgate and Hampstead Heath.

The main bedroom consists of a double bed, two large bureaus, and two night stands. There is a built-in closet and shelving. In addition there is a second decorative Victorian fireplace.

The second bedroom can serve as an office. There are built-in light pine cabinets, extensive shelving, and 12 feet of counter workspace. A couch that makes into a double bed is along one wall.

The tiled bath has a tub. There is a power-shower within the tub with a folding glass shower surround. There is additional storage in floor and wall cabinets.

The flat is located in Dartmouth Park which is in a conservation area south of Highgate and east of Hampstead Heath. It is a five minute walk to the Heath and to the Tufnell Park underground station on the Northern Line. Bus lines are even closer at both ends of the street. Gospel Oak London Overground station is about 7 minutes away. Within two minutes are located a general store, butcher, deli, newsagent, post office, dry cleaners , coffee shop, and Indian and seafood restaurants Another area with more restaurants and shops is within a ten minute walk. The flat is very quiet because there are no windows that face the street. There are four other flats in the building. All the occupants own their flats and are professional people.

We stayed in this beautiful Dartmouth Park flat for 6 months. The location is excellent--a lovely residential area very close to shops and transportation and Hampstead Heath. The flat itself is well furnished (the kitchen was exceptionally well-stocked), spacious and wonderfully light, and had everything we needed. Communication with the owners was easy and prompt. We stayed for 6 months in this lovely apartment in Dartmouth Park. We found the owners to be flexible, excellent communicators and made our stay a most enjoyable one. The flat itself is spacious, has a lovely balcony and is a wonderful area of North London with so much within walking distance. Would stay here again in a heartbeat and will miss the place very much! We have spent 2 consecutive summers in DPR and it has been a wonderful place to stay. Convenient location to many cultural places (Kenwood House, Camden Town, British Museum etc.) , quick access (4 minutes) to the renowned Hampstead Heath for all their summer activities and as well as a daily walk/jogging exercise to the top of Parliament Hill. There are 2 bathrooms which is a rarity in London, and includes all the necessities to live in an "American" facility while enjoying the English way of life. Just a great place to "do London". This flat was perfect, we arrived to find it spotlessly clean containing everything we needed to get started including bread, milk, soup, biscuits, wine and beer! The location was very convenient to the tube station on the Northern line taking about 20 minutes into the city centre. It was also close to Hampstead Heath and a lot of cool shopping places including Hampstead village, Highgate, Holloway Rd and Kentish town. We loved our stay here and would go back again if we had the time The owner was always just a phone call or an email away and dealt with any queries in an efficient and friendly manner, highly recommend this place. We spent three months in this lovely property over summer 2013, and it was ideal. The owners were prompt with contact and very nice. The apartment is lovely, well-situated, quiet, and very clean.

Additionally, all of the arrangements went smoothly.

I would absolutely recommend staying here.
