Quiet 1920's home with private porch

This delightful home sits on a quiet residential street in very hip Echo Park. To be honest, we are probably not cool enough to live here now, but we have been calling this neighborhood home for over 15 years and we love it. This place features a fully stocked recently remodeled kitchen, a full bathroom with tub, private laundry, a desk/work area and all the comforts of home. People especially love the porch and porch swing. It's a great place to enjoy the southern California weather and a cup of coffee. We live in the other side of this duplex. There are no shared areas, but we are close by if you need anything at all. Our house is situated close to beautiful Elysian park, the second largest park in Los Angeles. And we are only a mile from historic Sunset Blvd, with all its restaurant, bars and shops. And on the other side of Sunset is gorgeous Echo Park, known for its swan boats and iconic fountain. We are only 10 minutes to downtown and 15 minutes from USC. Cycling to both is easy and safe on bike paths. The Huntington Library and JPL are a quick 20 minute zip up the 110, a lovely drive up the oldest freeway in CA which is rarely crowded for that commute. Occidental College and Cal State LA are also within a 15 minute drive from our place. Parking is plentiful in front of the house, since most people have their own driveways and garages. We welcome all guests, but we especially are fond of cyclists (Ben can show you all the best road and gravel trails in the area), musicians (as the lead sound designer for a major musical instrument company, Ben loves to talk shop with fellow musicians), and people who love to eat (I enjoy baking and frequently share the bounty from our oven with guests). We are available to tenants for anything you may need, but respect your privacy as well. Perfect for a single person or couple, and well behaved pets are always welcome!
