This two bedroom, two bath condo of 961 square feet is located on The Isthmus in Madison Wisconsin just off The Capitol Square. It has a formal dining room with a view of The Capitol, separate living room, newer stainless steel kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, large refrigerator and oven. The kitchen has generous storage. There is also a butler's kitchen with additional storage and refrigerator. The condo has its original 1913 wood and tile floors, original woodwork, two entries doors, shared balconies, and an inviting building foyer of the original carved woodwork and marble with secured entry. Also in the condo are a custom crafted armoire, pocket door and transom, and storage shelves.
This condo home was featured recently in Madison Monthly Magazine as Home of the Month and is listed on the National Register of Historic Buildings and the Wisconsin Registry of Historic Places. It has been a downtown Madison Landmark for over a hundred years.
Included in the rent of $1895 is parking at a nearby covered ramp, heat, storage unit in foyer and free laundry on site. There is an elevator, a Commons Room with overnight guest facilities, a big screen TV, computer and printer. House cleaning is available. The condo comes fiber optic and internet ready.

About Me
I retired to Lyon, France with my partner Thomas after a long career in secondary public schools in New South Wales, Australia, New York State and Minnesota in the United States. Tom retired from I.T. at The University of Wisconsin at Madison, Wisconsin and is working in I.T. first in Lyon, Paris and now in Strasbourg, France. We are enjoying Europe but plan to return to Madison, Wisconsin, U.S.A. in a few years where we own a condo located in downtown Madison. This double condo has an excellent location a block from The Capitol Square and near all the amenities of the city and The University of Wisconsin. The Baskerville has a "walk score" of 95/96 which tells one much as to its convenience and access to restaurants, cafes, shops, the public library, and cultural events. We are looking for responsible residents who wish to enjoy downtown Madison life and will appreciate the vintage warmth of a 1913 building. It is listed on The National Registry of Historic Buildings The Wisconsin Registry of Historic Buildings and Madison landmark. Our condo features custom work which reflect the history and rich vibe of the building and add comfort to those living in our home. In our travels Tom and I alone or together have visited Canada, Belgium, Italy, Germany, Poland, The Czech Republic, Switzerland, Australia and African countries and look forward to more travels during our time in Europe. Please consider renting and enjoying your Madison sabbatical life in our condo.
