Quiet sunny loft with terrace near Madrid Rio
This flat is perfect for one or two people. It has a lovely terrace with plants on an automatic watering system, so no need to water them! The terrace is a great place to spend time working.... and even if it's raining, you can sit outside under the awning. The flat is on a quiet street near the Madrid Rio boardwalk that runs for kilometres along the Manzanares River. You can easily rent bicycles or electric scooters and go for a ride along the river. If you like parks, the Casa de Campo, the biggest one in Madrid, has biking lanes, walking paths, kayaking and boating, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, and a sports centre walking distance from the house. Or if you just want to have a nice meal or a drink on a terrace near the big lake, that's also an option. The flat is also close to Principe Pío station, a transport hub with its commuter trains, metro, and shopping centre. There is even a train straight to the airport that stops there. The flat is surrounded by buses that go to different parts of town such as Plaza España, Plaza Mayor, Plaza Jacinto Benavente (near Puerta del Sol), and Opera in about 15 minutes and another bus that brings you to Atocha in about 20 mins. You can easily reach the Complutense, ICADE, San Pablo CEU and other universities directly on line 6 or take the train to Carlos III from Principe Pio or Laguna station. The neighbourhood is quiet and safe with lots of parks and terraces to sit outside and have a drink near the river, the Casa Campo or along Paseo de Extremadura. The flat is cozy with high cathedral ceilings and a staircase up to the bedroom area. There is a bathroom upstairs next to the bed with a bathtub and another bathroom downstairs with a shower. The flat has lots of windows, so light pours in at all hours of the day, and the nice breeze from the Casa Campo is a blessing in the summer. The flat is heated in winter and I have ventilators for the summer. There is a big Carrefour market nearby and two other supermarkets a few minutes from the house. It is a 7-minute walk to two different metro stations (Puerta del Angel and Alto de Extremadura) and on the corner, two-minutes from the front door, there is a bus that brings you to Opera. Opera is only minutes walking to Madrid's city centre, La Puerta del Sol. The flat definitely has charm. It is located in a small three-storey building with 6 other flats, which is why it isn't noisy, and for those who don't like climbing stairs, there's an elevator. Hope to meet you soon!
