Architect-remodeled, comfortable home near Yale University

We are looking to rent our home in New Haven from January 1 201 to the summer 2021 (June-July, even part of August as convenient). The house comes fully furnished.

About the house: This cute classic brick Cape-Cod house was fully gutted and renovated in 2015 to turn it into a contemporary, cozy Scandinavian haven that will keep you warm in the winter and properly air-conditioned in the summer. All appliances are new. There is a deck, a garden, and a detached garage. The house sits close to Edgerton Park and various hiking trails to East Rock park. It is ten minutes away by bike from public tennis courts.

Noteworthy features include a steam shower in the master bedroom, heated floors in both full bathrooms, smart Nest thermostat control, an alarm system, a Nespresso machine and other upscale appliances in the kitchen, a large trampoline in the garden, an electronic piano, and all the baby gear you need (in case you have a newborn we can set up a crib for example).

The master bedroom is located on the first floor and has its own bathroom and master closet.

The second bedroom, on the second floor, is set up as a children's room, with two single beds with their attenant desks.

The third bedroom, also on the second floor, doubles as a guest room (with a queen size bed) and an office with a workstation for two people (with two ergonomic chairs and one printer). Bedroom 2 and 3 share a common bathroom (with a full tub).

There is a half-bathroom in the entrance of the house. The washer and drier are located on the first floor. There is ample storage in the basement.

Yale University is a 5-minute car ride away, a 12 minute bike-ride away, and 25 minutes away by foot.

We will privilege renters who agree to hire our cleaning lady for weekly cleanings.

Our 2 cars (a black Honda CRV and a black Honda coupe) are also for rent, if interested (price to be negotiated).

Deposit: one month per 6 months of rental.

About Me
I'm a tenured Associate Professor of Political Science at Yale University where I teach political theory since 2009. I grew up in Normandy, France; studied in Paris for several years and then went on to complete a PhD in political science at Harvard University. I now teach at Yale University. I'm now happily married with two lovely daughters. We love to sing and travel. My daughters are tri-lingual (English, French, and Serbian, which they learn from their father).
