West Greenwich Village Apartment close to Hudson River Promenade

We are offering our comfortable West Village apartment home from mid-August through end of December, possibly longer. Flexible start/end dates. We are traveling for documentary film work, and all of our spring projects have been pushed forward. Our apartment is ideal for one person or a couple. The second bedroom that is used as an office/spare room and has an Ikea captain's daybed. Good fit for a child or single person guest. The main bedroom has a quality queen bed, and both bedrooms are quiet, bordering the courtyard.

The living and dining area is sunny, and room to do your yoga in the morning. We have a stereo with a turntable and plenty of LPs should you like to lounge and listen.

The kitchen is a fully-equipped, NYC "galley style" kitchen. The bathroom has a full bath with shower. Linens and towels provided.

The apartment is a walk-up, so 2 1/2 flights - but not steep flights.
A laundry room is a few steps through the courtyard, and there are also full-service laundries nearby.

Our place is a short walk from NYU, Parsons The New School, Joffrey Ballet School, NY Film Academy, and near the west side subways to reach midtown or further up, to Columbia University, City College or Harlem in 15 minutes. Union Square is a 15 minute walk across the Village if you are heading for NY Film Academy. For leisure, we are a block from the Hudson River Park and bike way. Perfect for summer exercise and relaxing, or walk/jog/ride a bike down to the Financial District - stop en route at City Vineyard and enjoy a food and drinks listening to the best live music on offer, all while watching lights twinkling on the Hudson River. Our neighborhood is full of coffee shops, restaurants, and is nearby the High Line, Chelsea, and Meat Market areas. Excellent supermarket shopping at nearby Brooklyn Fare, or casual dining in the Chelsea Market.

About Me
My partner and I are documentary filmmakers. I taught for years at public and private colleges in NYC as an adjunct in film and language immersion programs and now teach on a workshop basis at the UN University system. We live in NYC but spend a lot of time traveling for international documentary projects; we have family in Iceland and also work there, and we love to visit the Loire Valley in France.

The apartment was wonderful! What a gem: located in one of the most exciting and bustling neighbourhoods, but still quiet and calm inside (particularly with the bedroom facing the private courtyard). The apartment itself is spacious and well-maintained, and the entire building is pristine. Walking distance to great restaurants, grocery stores, trains, and right next to the beautiful waterfront. We couldn't have asked for a better place to spend the summer in the city. Would highly recommend! Excellent Lindsay J 9/20/2019 6:56:00 AM
I could not have found a better apartment! I stayed here for several months this past winter, including extending a couple of times. The apartment is ideally located in the amazing West Village neighborhood, walking distance to markets, trains, and lots of great restaurants. The apartment is super spacious, very well maintained, and all that you would want in a home-away-from-home -- super clean, comfortable and cozy, and all the amenities. I would not hesitate to stay again or recommend to friends or family. Thank you, S&G! Excellent Allison Cusano 6/26/2019 7:53:00 AM
