THis is a comfortable, quiet and well equipped split-level apartment on the third and fourth (top) floors of North Melbourne’s unique City Gardens complex http://www.citygardens.org.au
It has private outdoor living, and underground parking, and its own secure entrance gate. There are 2 and a half flights of stairs above street level (no elevator). The gate opens onto a roomy, walled courtyard with outdoor furniture. There is a galley kitchen, and an open plan living / dining room, furnished with two sofas, a coffee table, a large chest of drawers, and a dining table and chairs.
The master bedroom has a queen-size bed, walk-in wardrobe, and its own vanity and shower. The second bedroom has a double bed with a single bed trundle, and its own wardrobe, vanity and shower over spa tub.
The bedrooms are on the level above the main living area, and are separated by a shared toilet and laundry room.
Generous supplies of bed linen, towels and homewares, furnishings, crockery, cutlery, cookware and appliances are provided (washer/ drier; refrigerator; microwave; toaster; kettle; electric oven; gas stove top; gas heater; reverse cycle air conditioner / heater).
On one side this apartment overlooks the garden of a childcare centre; typically you hear children at play Monday to Friday 8AM to 6PM and it is very quiet at other times.
Smoking is permitted in the outdoor courtyard the apartment only, but not indoors.
This apartment is in walking distance to hospitals and research institutes in Parkville, to RMIT, the University of Melbourne, and University and Princes High Schools. You can walk to supermarkets, cafes and restaurants, libraries, parks, fitness, sport and entertainment facilities, shopping precincts. Many central Melbourne attractions are also walkable – Queen Victoria Market, Lygon Street, Zoo, Docklands stadium, the city’s central business district. The apartment complex is directly on tram route 57 (Flinders Street Station to West Maribyrnong) and bus route 402 (East Melbourne to Footscray Station), and 10 minutes’ walk to the North Melbourne Railway Station.
The minimum stay is 6 months and we accept longer stays of 12 months or more.
