After spending a long time in Aix en Provence and graduating from IEP (Political Sciences) and teaching for a few years, while my children were growing up, my english husband (journalist/writer) and myself decided to come and live in Paris, our favourite city. We love travelling and decided to let our home while not in Paris or our villa near Aix en Provence.

We are regular Sabbatical Homes & Airbnb travelers and we found Lucia's place lovely, especially if you're looking to be in the heart of this amazing city, so perfectly located and yet quiet. The place was modern, it had everything we needed to feel at home. The flat was an easy walk to many of the sites we wanted to see. We were in the heart of the city but yet, in a quiet neighborhood. We were close to markets, and bakeries, and a few steps to dozens of restaurants and cafes. The kitchen and bathrooms were fully stocked. The beds, sheets, and towels were great. Communication was easy too. Paul, Lucia's son lives nearby, he met us at the flat and showed us around, he was always available to answer questions. We even found milk in the fridge and wine, fruit, and coffee to get us started! Very accommodating! We would highly recommend this wonderful apartment and Lucia as landowner! I look forward to checking out their other rentals too!

Our family of five rented this lovely apartment for a wonderful academic year. It is spacious, quiet, and private, fully equipped for comfortable living. The location could not be better: in the heart of Paris, within blocks of terrific schools both public and private, and within close to shopping at Bastille and along the rue Saint-Antoine. Our three children loved the park across the street (along with several others within a ten minute walk). Lucia and Peter were responsive and generous hosts. We highly recommend this apartment! My husband and I rented this spacious and beautiful apartment for two months in the summer of 2012. The best things about it are the size and the location. It is quite large for central Paris and well situated for public transportation or walking to all the usual spots along the Seine and in the Marais. We had ample room for ourselves and for welcoming guests to the two extra bedrooms. The rooms are well laid out for privacy. The large eat-in kitchen is a particular joy and very well stocked with any serving piece you could conceivably need.

The apartment is on the raised ground floor with just a couple of steps up to its front door. This means it is easily accessible and also that it stays nice and cool on warm summer days. Be prepared that there can be the usual city noises of traffic, garbage trucks, rumbling metro sounds, and noisy pedestrians, however, but you are in Paris where everyone wants to be!

Public transportation couldn't be better. The #7 metro stop Sully-Morland is directly in front of the entrance, and buses #67, 85, and 86 are literally steps away.

We were on foot a great deal of the time exploring this wonderful area: the Seine, the charming shops on Rue St. Paul, the Bastille Market, and our favorite restaurant, the very local "Les Temps de Cerises", which is only 2 blocks away, one of the few restaurants that Rick Steves lists in the Marais. Rue Rivoli/St. Antoine is nearby and full of shops and grocery stores. Our favorite grocery was the Monoprix, but a new FranPrix was opening even closer just as we were leaving.

Our landlady Lucia was always responsive and thoughtful when any issues came up. We were glad we took her suggestion of continuing the services of her very nice cleaning lady and her handyman husband.

My husband, my two children (age 2 and 5) and I have loved living in this apartment. Lucia and Peter have been gracious and charming landlords. The apartment itself is even prettier than the pictures. Having visited some Paris apartments, I now realise how large the apartment it (given that it is smaller than our home in Montreal) - the kitchen is easily usable and contains everything we need. The location is everything we could want - right in front of a metro, walking distance to shopping, markets, and attractions such as the Louvre, Hotel de Ville, Notre Dame etc. We cannot recommend the apartment highly enough. Wonderful apartment and delightful experience, coordinating with the owner. Great communication... very, very helpful prior to our arrival, and after. Made us feel very welcome! We had a wonderful stay in Paris, and would do it all again in an instant. The location was fantastic, the apartment not only lovely, but roomy as well. Thanks for everything!!
