Very attractive 1 BR apartment in heart of Montparnasse

Situated on the second floor of a small 19th-century building (with digicode and a second security door), this very pleasant and tastefully furnished 40m2 apartment has a living room with a new sofa bed; a bedroom with a large, comfortable bed as well as a large armoire; a small dining area with room for four; a full kitchen equipped with a fridge, a combined oven/microwave, and a dishwasher, as well as top-of-the-line kitchenware. In the bathroom, you will find a very large shower, a heated drying towel rack, and a washer/dryer.

The kitchen and bathroom were both completely renovated two years ago.

Lots of Parisian charm throughout: old wooden beams and red brick tiled floors. Much sunlight. Simple but tasteful furniture. Free cable television and DSL/wi-fi internet connection. Free calls to France, the US, and many other countries. All necessary bed linens, towels, dishes, etc. provided, as well as guidebooks about Paris and France. A detailed information sheet about the apartment and the neighborhood is provided as well.

Situated in the heart of the famed Montparnasse neighborhood, one block from the 6th arrondissement, and a short walk to the Jardin du Luxembourg, this apartment will provide you with a Parisian lifestyle, with many cafés, markets, stores, restaurants, cinemas, and theaters around. There is also an open-air market (twice a week) and an arts fair (every Sunday) on Boulevard Edgar Quinet, just around the corner.

Extremely convenient access to all areas of Paris. Nearest Métro stops: Edgar Quinet (line 6) and Montparnasse (lines 4, 12, and 13) + many buses that go all over Paris.

The monthly rent is currently 1,500 euros (the apartment has been discounted due to current circumstances). It includes phone, cable and wi-fi, as well as a monthly cleaning service if the apartment is rented for more than one month. Electricity (approximately 50 euros a month) is extra. No hidden charges.
The apartment is currently available from February 4 onward.

The location is great! The apartment is nice, well furnished, bright and in great condition. MMe Furstenberrg is very helpful and available. It was a wonderful experience! I would definitely go back and recommend. Ana, São Paulo- Brazil Excellent Ana Paula Simioni 5/3/2019 6:11:00 AM
This apartment is a perfect gem - small, but cozy and perfectly sufficient for two (or even up to four, considering the pull-out couch, which our kids used when the visited). The layout and furnishings of the apartment make the most of the space wonderfully. The kitchen and appliances are all you could ever need and are fully modernized. During our three month stay, we were comfortably "home," and now a few months later we miss it quite a bit. The neighborhood was Parisian convenience exemplified; your morning baguette is across the street (peep out the window to check if there's a line), the cheese shop and fruit stand just down the street, an abundance of fine restaurants an easy stroll away, numerous Metro lines at either end of the block. Did I mention the street markets three times a week? You can even discover great views of the Eiffel tower from well-placed street corners. Gilberte is the most helpful hostess, providing much useful information up front, and always available to answer emailed questions and provide expert advice about life in Paris. Those of us who rent frequently in Paris have suffered disappointments. Not here. Experience has taught us that renting from an agency web site is not the way to go––better to interact with real people than with software. From negotiating which currency to use for payment, to picking up the keys, to making ourselves at home, the process was seamless, thanks to our considerate hosts. Moreover, every convenience, and indeed the whole Paris experience, is on your doorstop here in the heart of Montparnasse. You’ll want to return. Excellent budcarlos 1/27/2017 6:28:00 PM
Gilberte's place is quite small but also, as they say, perfectly formed. Every square centimetre is put to at least one good use and so the apartment has everything you need for a comfortable stay. It's also very well located. And to top it all off Gilberte is lovely to deal with, communicative, helpful, even anticipating your needs. I would certainly like to stay again and have already recommended Gilberte's place to others. Excellent JenniferRachel 1/1/2017 1:53:00 PM
We stayed half of December and half of January to celebrate my husband's 70th birthday (which happened to fall on the same day as the Charlie Hebdo massacre) and a baptism of the baby of our friend's daughter who married a Parisian. Loved the area and how close it was to everything. We walked or took the buses everywhere. If the weather was warmer we would have used the Velib bike system but a tad cold in December and January...The apartment is charming and we loved the view of the bakery across the street and watching the people and the life on the street. Creperies all along the street and one right below the apartment and could smell the delicious scent of warm butter when we opened the broom closet. Mmmm. Nice and quiet for sleeping with a comfortable "real" bed. And even a small bathtub so we could have a soak after walking for hours all over the city every day. Big wardrobe with lots of room for our clothes and luggage. Good WiFi connection. Washing machine worked great. We were able to cook lots of meals "chez nous" as well. Great market and Monoprix around the corner. Montparnasse cemetary a short walk away. Lots of cinema and theatres so close as well and museums easy to access. Gilberte was very helpful and answered all of our numerous questions right away. We wanted to return in October but the apartment is already rented. Merci Beaucoup Gilberte and Francois!
