"Gem of an apt offering a truly Parisian Experience"--Quote from our tenant

Our lovely apartment is available immediately for short or longer periods. Minimum stay one month. Longer stay possible with negotiable end date.

Our place is in the lively, cosmopolitan 14th arrondissement of Paris. Bright, spacious (70 square meters) the two-bedroom apartment overlooks a side street which gives onto Avenue du General Leclerc; it's on the 5th floor (6th floor US) with an elevator and a resident guardian, Elisa. It is a classic Haussman building with high ceilings, moldings, a light-filled and well equipped kitchen with eat-in nook (roomy for Paris). It has a spacious living/dining room, one bedroom with a double bed and a second with one set of bunk beds. Both bedrooms have desks. The living room has a comfy sleeper-bed/sofa for guests. Bathroom with full bathtub, shower, and separate toilet, all fully modernized. Fully furnished/equipped: linens, washing machine, microwave, espresso maker, TV, printer/scanner, maps, books, dvds, landline free to 18 countries, and everything from umbrellas to kids’ books to board games and guide books.

Located near many public transportation routes: Metro Alesia (No.4) is a 4 minute walk away, RER to CDG airport is a 10 minute walk or two metro stops. Three buses crossing Paris are a minute from our front door, the Tramway is 8 minutes, taxis circulate before our front door. Lovely visa vis.

The neighborhood enjoys many shopping outlets and essential services (organic and conventional grocery stores on our block, nurses’ offices, hospitals, pastry shops, bakeries, hair salons) plus cafes, restaurants, the playgrounds in beautiful Parc Montsouris, and a new multiplex Gaumont with 8 screens is a block away.

Excellent schools, (details available). Photos and references below. 1995 euros/month plus utilities (estimates: 80 euros for electricity, 20 for gas, 43 internet, landline and tv, water 40 every three months). NO AGENCY FEES. We can arrange a visit (good idea) by you or a friend. Contact: sshesgreen@niu.edu. Or US 1847 508 7002.

Available right now; end date negotiable. A deposit guarantees you the apartment. Rent reduction for longer stay.

Here are recent tenants' descriptions: "This gem of an apartment offers a truly Parisian existence. The Hausmann era 19th century building has beautiful details such as molded door frames and 9 foot ceilings, metal shutters opening onto wrought iron balconies. It is clean and well maintained.
"Perfect for a couple wanting an office or people with one or two children, the living room separates both bedrooms each with a French window and balcony. The light-filled kitchen is large and modern by Paris standards. It’s in a great neighborhood with several public markets, shops and schools and is not far from Parc Montsouris and easily accessible to the rest of Paris and all of France by train, bus, metro, tram or on foot.
"Our sabbatical year in Paris was wonderful, thanks to this apartment and to the attentive, ever-gracious landlord, Sean."

"We had a wonderful time at the apartment while on sabbatical leave last year. The apartment is bright and sunny (plus those balconies are fun) and in a great neighborhood. We've rented in Paris several times before and were pleasantly surprised at how large and workable the kitchen is. Parc Montsouris and the Cité Universitaire are a short walk away and we became regulars at the Daudet café just around the corner. Getting around the city was really easy too with the Metro and tramway so close. We were very happy with Sean as our landlord. He's honest, attentive and great to work with."

"I wanted to say thanks again for everything. We had a terrific time, and your apartment was the perfect spot from which to venture forth. Lovely space in a lovely neighborhood."

"You have a very nice apartment in a great little corner of Paris."

"Thanks again; it was a true treat to have such a comfortable set
up in Paris. We have had a lovely time in your apartment - I especially enjoyed the crown moldings and the washing machine; the kids were thrilled with the bunk beds and the high speed internet connection. It turned out that several of my colleagues from UNESCO live within a few blocks."
