Charming, cozy apartment in a fun and historic neighborhood full of cafes and restaurants and walking distance to some other great neighborhoods in Paris. The apartment overlooks a courtyard so it is quiet and a good place to work. Elisa is very attentive and pro-active landlady. Enjoyed my stay very much.

This review is for the studio on Boulevard Voltaire where I lived for 11 months. The owner Elisa is an exceptionally attentive and thoughtful landlord. Even though she lives in Germany she is very easy to contact by phone and email—It never takes any time to reach her. And she often visits Paris and stops by on those occasions, checking on things and asking about any needs. The other tenants in the building are quite friendly; I got to know about seven of them. The neighborhood is the St Ambroise quartier, near Oberkampf, and it is just wonderful: low-keyed, casual neighborhood with no tourists but many lively cafés and every other establishment you would want. I was partial to the café directly across from the Église St Ambroise; the church is also across from a well-used neighborhood park. And you can walk to countless interesting other neighborhoods as well. The metro (#9 line) is literally right in front of the building's doorstep. And there are many other metros and busses nearby too. The studio itself has two large windows and so you get plenty of sunshine. The studio has a washing machine, and there also is a laundromat right around the corner if you want to wash larger items or use a dryer. And the studio also has a dishwasher, which worked perfectly.

The apartment is beautiful, furnished with lovely art and antiques, and very well organized. It is a very comfortable place to stay. The owner is delightful and the manager is very efficient. The neighborhood is quiet and charming. Very close to the Jardin Luxenburg and not far from the Sorbonne, Science Po, and the ENS. I highly recommend it.

A very comfortable apartment in an excellent neighborhood, with lots of food shops, supermarkets, and markets nearby. The front overlooks a relatively quiet side street; the bedroom overlooks a quiet courtyard. Well set up for one or two people; a guest sofabed can accommodate a third. Elisa was great and made everything work smoothly, in both English and French.
