Nearby is also La Villette, an expansive park containing the Grand Halle de la Villette and one of the world's best science and industry complexes, Cité des Sciences et de l'Industrie. Our light, airy apartment is less than 100 yards from the Place des Fêtes Metro, with an extra benefit of being served by two metro lines, Lines 11 and 7bis, and 150 yards from Metro Jourdain, also on Line 11, and two stops to the new T3b line. Our beautiful 65 square meter (~700 square feet) apartment is most comfortable for 2, with a main bedroom and a salon used as a comfortable sitting area. The dining room is together with, as the French say, an "American kitchen". The apartment is roomy, full of light from large arched French windows overlooking a three day/week farmers market, convenient for getting all your ingredients for preparing haute cuisine meals. The apartment is on the 5th floor of a 1928 building with lift, and is accessible only with a new security badge entry system. The neighborhood is situated near Parc de Belleville (the 2nd best view of Paris, after Sacre Coeur) and Parc des Buttes-Chaumont. You'll appreciate the cozy, village environment, with restaurants (including Le Baratin-featured on a Anthony Bourdain episode-to which chefs all over Paris clamor for lunch, Le Mistral, a Conde Nast Top 50 in Paris), boulangeries (including multiple award winning Au 140 par Frederic Comyn), fromageries, boucheries, wine shops, fruit and produce merchants and much more. Eat out in one of the neighborhood's terrific cafes, bistros or restaurants or eat in, cooking in a kitchen with a new counter top (2023) with "only in Paris" ingredients from the Marché, across the street on Tuesday/ Friday/Sunday with produce, fish, meat, cheese, breads, pastries, etc., or neighborhood shops! A gourmet's delight! The apartment has high-speed WiFi, free phone calls to North America/Europe, HDTV with European/English-language cable channels (CNN, BBC, SkyNews, etc.).
