Hi, We stayed in this appartment (Listing # 89500) in Paris (11e arr.) for 5 months, from Jan to May 2019. We were 2 adults and 3 kids (4, 6 and 10 years old). PROS: We liked a lot the appartment, since it is well furnished and cozy. The 3 rooms are comfortable. The kitchen offers much you need. The immediate neighborhood is safe and quiet, and offers multiple services (bakeries, markets, café, etc.). At 4 minutes walking is the street De la Roquette, with tons of restaurants, bars, cafés, boutiques, etc. At 15 minutes walking is the quarter Le Marais with even more restaurants, bars and boutiques. Metro is 6 minutes walking (Breguet-Sabin), but two more stations are also close (Bastille and Voltaire). CONS: While the appartment is very well furnished, the diner table and chairs is very basic. Also, because the appartment is used by tenants during summer, all room closets and kitchen cabinets are half full or more. So, it is hard to establish yourself fully. Finally, the other tenants in the building are not so understanding of children and the noise than can make. Expect unpleasant visits if your children act as... children. I stayed in this apartment for four months while studying in Paris and it was lovely! The apartment is very large by Paris standards and excellently designed. It was equipped with everything we needed and more! The kitchen comes fully stocked with all the tools/machines you need and has lots of room. My female roommates and I really appreciated how secure the building was. It has an off street entrance with four security gates. This also makes the apartment very quiet as it is not directly on the street. The area is great for going out for dinner or drinks, and is situated between three main metro lines. The owner of the apartment is very organized and always replied quickly if we ever had a question. They will send a repair worker if there’s ever a concern with the apartment and took care of everything. Overall I had an amazing stay and would highly recommend this apartment. I rented the apartment for one semester. The house was great, nicely furnished and prices were cheap compared to the area and for the size and quality of the apartment. I did not have to pay more than what agreed on beforehand. In addition, the apartment looks way better than the pictures so overall I could not complain at all. The landlady was super helpful, she gave me some guides to Paris and left some guidelines so that my stay was pleasant. Overall I recommend this apartment for the quality of the apartment, the area and the level of professionalism of the landlady. Excellent Rose 11/12/2018 1:18:00 PM
I had a really pleasant stay in this beautiful apartment. The area is great: full of cafés, restaurants, supermarkets, close to 3 metros and walking distance from le Marais and Bastille. Very strategic spot. The building is very secure and the apartment looks into an internal courtyard which makes it really quite. The house was equipped with everything which made it very easy to move in. I would definitely recommend it! Excellent Giulia 11/12/2018 1:08:00 PM
Very negative experience. The owner of this listing has many hidden fees that she added on later, including a real estate tax that is legally her responsibility to pay (for a short term, furnished rental). She also charged me a "management fee" to cover the advertising of the apartment, and her management of the apartment (she is the owner). When I had already signed the contract and payed the owner, a few days before I was supposed to arrive in Paris and move in, she cancelled the contract because she had found someone who would pay more. Lastly, the pictures in the listing are not recent, and the apartment does not look nearly as good as it does in the pictures. RESPONSE FROM OWNER: This prospective tenant, DP (her alias is sabbatical-homes-rental), had already been living and working in Paris (for about a year) and was looking for a new place. Full rent due had not been paid when we decided not to go forward because we couldn’t come to an agreement. Photos are recent and show exact furnishings. Rent has never been raised since first listed; same reasonable monthly rent for 3 months or one-year term. There are no hidden taxes or fees. All tenants have loved the apartment and say it is much prettier than in the photos! Disappointing sabbatical-homes-rental 11/7/2018 2:11:00 AM
