Situated in the elegant and luxurious 6th arrondissement, bright and sunny, our freshly repainted and furnished Haussman flat , 2 bedrooms, doubleliving room, will delight you with its lovely cheerful rooms, original woodfloor, mouldings,high ceilings, and French windows.Enjoy a drink on the long balcony, shop at the best French grocery store( the Bon Marché), or the organic farmers market,a few minutes away,or just run round the building to a perfect convenience store; cook at home with fresh products or be lazy and try some of the many French restaurants around. Authentic French antiques , lots of paintings will delight you and make you feel at home in the "chic" and refined Paris centre,
"The living is easy".. when you can walk to the Luxembourg garden, have a drink at the Select Café or the Deux Magots"visit the Rodin museum, Bourdelle, Zadkine museums, or the the Musée d'Orsay , the Louvre, take a boat tour on the Seine river etc: and literally enjoy and reach all the best of what Paris has to offer within minutes. Public transportation of every kind is available, too.
Then, when tired of your visits and promenades, you can come home, to a sunny calm apartment on the 2nd floor (lift) complete with balconies, fireplace, internet and TV,and, quite rare, an open view onto trees and greenery..

About Me
I am an American painter,filmmaker and house renovator who has been living in France for the last thirty years with my companion Pascale Rivault a retired French school teacher from the public school system. We have two children our son an Architect and our daughter an actress filmmaker . For the last fourteen years I have been making films on films and promoting the legacy of my father's work and the work of the Independent American Filmmakers of the 50 and 60's. I am passionate about design and renovation and basically rebuilt our wonderful "L'Hotel Particulier" from head to toe over twenty years. We also do a B+B and weekly rentals in our Logis and have hosted many researchers and academics. We also have a second garden and parking space across the street at my studio where ewe do yearly shows of artists from France and around the world.

This house is spacious, bright, clean with a wonderful kitchen if you like to cook. Its location is within walking distance to almost everything in Angers, including trams which go all over the city. Walking distance to the TGV trains makes it easy to travel anywhere in France. Michael and Pascale were great to work with. They provided help with almost everything we needed. We had a wonderful two weeks in this fine apartment. It is bright, clean and well located. Close to several intersecting metro lines and a short 5 minute walk to the Luxembourg Gardens. We used the apartment as a convenient base for activities on both the Left and Right Banks as well as Rolland Garros. Michael and Pascale were great to work with. They provided extra photos of apartment, were able to work with our arrival and departure schedule and went out of their way to orient us to the flat and the nearby area. We would certainly hope to return for the excellent accommodations, pleasant and easy to work with owners and convenient access to central Paris.

The Logis de la Roche Corbin truly is a work of art. The photos just don't do it justice! It's a large home that easily accommodates our family of four, plus our guests. The home has been beautifully restored with up to date bathrooms and a gourmet kitchen. It is well stocked with dishes, linens, books, movies...you won't want for anything. Michael and Pascale are absolutely wonderful! From the beginning they have been most helpful and generous. They have gone above and beyond our expectations. We have felt very welcome and at home here. We are loving the city of Angers. The city offers a wide variety of activities...bike trails, outdoor concerts, movie theaters, cultural exhibits, history, shopping and restaurants. Angers is also ideally located for traveling. Paris is easily reached by train. Nantes airport is less than one hour away. We've also made several short road trips to the Normandy and Brittany regions. We couldn't be happier with our choice in Angers and the Logis de la Roche Corbin! It will be hard for us to leave when our time here comes to an end. We stayed at this beautiful Paris apartment for two weeks. The apartment is elegant and very much "classic Parisian." The location is superb—right next to several major transit stops, making it easy to get around and within ten minutes walking to Luxembourg Gardens. We were able to walk to many of the sites we visited. The apartment's grand French-door windows open onto a quiet street with very low traffic. The master bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen open onto an interior court which is quiet. The apartment is beautifully decorated. The flat has everything you could need for cooking and comfort (not to mention the most divine stove-top espresso maker I have ever used....and I have used a lot!). The master bedroom has a supremely comfortable bed, black-out drapes and a window facing the interior court. At night it was pitch black and silent. We slept very well. What a gem of a place!!! We have been living at the Logis de la Roche Corbin for almost 3 months now (of the 10 months we'll be here) and we love it here. Angers is a pretty city, less than an hour from the Nantes-Atlantique International airport. This house is perfectly located for everything... universities, schools, markets, bakery, banks, cafés, shops, transit etc. Getting around is so easy by foot. It is a city steeped in history with so much to do with many cultural and arts events. It is a cyclist's, runner's, walker, and rower's dream location being just minutes from the river and Lac Meine, and all of its trails. The house is spacious, bright and comfortable with all the modern amenities. Elegantly renovated to high standards, while maintaining many of its original features.... from hundreds of years ago when it was a nobleman's home. The lovely little courtyard is perfect for outdoor meals and coffee in the morning. Having the private parking option in a gated courtyard is great. Michael and Pascale are lovely people and helped us a great deal in acting as liaisons to get our children registered in well reputed local schools, as well as with other matters.
