Lovely GARDEN flat in heart of PARK SLOPE, Brooklyn, New York

We are professors/writers and looking for a caring person or couple to stay in our home.??

Description: Lovely Garden Apt. in the Heart of Park Slope.

Charming furnished 1.5 bedroom floor-thru apartment, plus an additional small, sun-filled office/reading/writing room looking into a lovely, private garden that you would have all to yourself. ?The apartment is on the ground floor of a classic brownstone on a tree-lined block. The apt. has wood floors, French Doors, and eat-in kitchen with tile floors and plentiful sunshine.??

The garden is a wonderful oasis for morning coffee/tea, reading, working, meditating, and relaxing after work and on the weekends and for lovely outdoor dinners. Our garden is double the size of most, so it truly is a secret garden hideaway--you have exclusive use--with lilac tree, roses, and sunshine and shade with large market umbrella and table and chairs.??

Sun-filled eat-in-kitchen (w/dishwasher) that looks out on garden. The apartment is equipped with air conditioner, ceiling fans, floor fans, very comfortable king size bed, and also a single sized tween bed (rooms are only semi-private with Soji screen), a flat-screen TV with Roku + DVD player, FIOS HIGH SPEED WiFi (works in garden, too), a dishwasher, and brand-new washer & dryer inside the apt. for your private use.

Steps away is Brooklyn's Restaurant Row—5th Avenue, lots of cafes & coffee houses and pubs, incredible variety of excellent restaurants, gourmet food shops, Union Market, large supermarkets, dry cleaners, boutiques, Stories Bookshop, Park Slope Food Co-Op; nearby is also 7th Avenue with more shops, restaurants, Community Bookshop, and coffee shops. In addition to the bountiful large Famers Market in Prospect Park every Saturday, there is a small Farmers Market every Sunday nearby as well on Fifth Avenue. Nearby are several yoga studios and gyms, Pilates, Barre Method, and the Brooklyn Zen Center, the Main NY Public Library Branch of Brooklyn, BAM--Brooklyn Academy of Music, Theatre, and Cinema, Brooklyn Museum, the new Center for Fiction, Mark Morris Dance, and Theatre for a New Audience.

We are just a short stroll to beautiful Botanic Gardens and PROSPECT PARK (very similar to Central Park--same designer, Frederick Law Olmsted)) with wonderful walks, picnicking, running, biking, playgrounds, historic working carousel, boat house, huge, wonderful farmers' market every Saturday, food carts on weekends in the park, playgrounds and sprinklers, nature walks, and Celebrate Brooklyn--summer concerts in the park, and other events.?

Park Slope Voted in Poll by New York Magazine as “The Best Place to Live in all of NYC.”??

Near just about every subway and an easy commute to Manhattan. A speedy subway to West Village, Soho, Financial District, downtown/lower Manhattan in fifteen minutes and only a few more stops to midtown or direct line to Upper West Side or Upper East Side. Close to Barclays Center/Atlantic Ave Station as well as Bergen St (2/3) and 7th Avenue (B/Q) and just about every subway line: 2,3,4, 5, B, Q, D N, R. We are also nearby the Long Island Railroad (LIRR) station and train rides to beaches—Reis Beach, Far Rockaway, Jones Beach, Coney Island, Fire Island, and Eastern Long Island--The Hamptons.??

The rent for the sublet is $2,700 per month, plus basic utilities for your stay—Con Edison for electricity + Verizon Fios for Wifi.
Note: We have a wonderful person who could clean twice or once a month for $100 per cleaning—this is encouraged though optional.??

We rent our apartment and would provide you with an official sublease agreement signed by you, us, and our landlord.?

We will ask for two-month’s rent and a one-month deposit in advance.
We will return the full deposit once you leave and we have confirmed everything in good condition.

This will all be stipulated in the official sublease.

We also ask for three email references.

Our landlord lives in Brooklyn, so if you have any major problems while we are away, he is available.???We look forward to hearing from you!
?All the best,
?Andrea & John
