Mika is very kind and very professional at the same time. It was my first time in Athens and she made sure that things worked as smoothly as possible. The information folder she prepared about the house and Athens in general is much better than what you can find online or gather by yourself. Everything in the house has English instructions and the location beats it all! No need for a car. It's an old house but it functions well. It is not sound-proof so if you're sensitive to noise, bring good earplugs. The neighborhood is very safe and lively, I enjoyed it a lot (including the farmers market on Fridays right by the door). Mika is the best host you can imagine. She really went out of her way, which touched me a lot (e.g., She kept sending me links on the latest social events and what was going on in Athens). Next time I travel to Athens, I won't look for anywhere else but this house. Excellent OE 1/30/2018 8:13:00 AM
A large, rambling, attractively furnished and comfortable apartment with a very long bathtub. There is a bus stop nearby, and a five-minute walk will take you to the Metro. We generally walked downtown (20 minutes to the National Archaeological Museum, 30 to Omonoia Square) and took the Metro home. There are several grocery stores within a few blocks, an excellent delicatessen on the next block north and a large Saturday produce market two blocks west. We spent most of our month in Athens in simply walking around and absorbing the quality of this vast, disheveled and fascinating city, and Ms. Sclaventis' apartment was an excellent base for this purpose. Ms. Sclaventis herself, fluent in several languages, went well out of her way to be helpful and informative. We would certainly rent the apartment again. Excellent NITID 2/17/2017 11:33:00 AM
I had a great stay here (2 months). The apartment is very nice. It's in an excellent location (15-20 minute walk to the Acropolis and Syntagma square). It's also in one of Athen's nicer neighbourhoods with quick access to many buses (although I walked most places). Check out the beautiful park by the Stadium right across the street. I did have one concern, the walls are fairly thin so you might hear the neighbours. I probably noticed that because the street is so quiet so it's hard to list it as a complaint. Mika is a gem - she helped out in every way and was always available if I had a concern or question. Excellent Scot Ritchie 5/20/2013 9:14:00 AM
