Very special 2-bedroom house near everything in NE Portland

Our cozy 1928 bungalow sits on a large, secluded lot with views of downtown (through trees). Living room is bright with two walls of windows and a fireplace; the small but very handy kitchen adjoins a dining room with French doors to the big front deck; two small bedrooms and bath complete the living space; they face the expansive bakyard. Basement with laundry facilities is available for your use; upstairs master suite has been turned into personal storage, and is not (that's the second story visible in photograph).Very private and quiet; large yard with multiple fruit trees and raised beds, a veritable "urban farm" including chickens and bees (these could be moved if you'd prefer not to deal with livestock), as well as mostly-native landscaping. Close to restaurants and shops and a half block from the bus stop. A very easy place to retreat from Covid-19, if need continues, and otherwise, handy to all the delights of Portland and the exceptional outdoor options provided by Oregon's coast, volcanic peaks, Columbia Gorge, and desert.

An Oregon-based professor with roots in Berkeley, I hope to find the right people to rent our old family home in the Berkeley hills--until I can retire and return to it!

We rented Barbara's house in Berkeley Hills for an entire year, and it was SO nice!

Both Barbara and Ken (her brother) are very friendly and helpful in answering our questions, showing us the neighborhood and suggesting field trips.

The house has a special history - make sure to ask Ken about it!

All in all we can highly recommend the house in Berkeley Hills.

If you want to know more about the rental, please feel free to ask Barbara to release our contact information,

Best regards, Marianne and Søren Berg Glasius Denmark
