an invigorating archeological, artistic and cultural exploration of the mysterious city of Rome. 
This delightful apartment is located on the third floor. The apartment building is from the early 1900s and does not have an elevator. It is 5 minutes from the Colosseum or Flavian Amphitheater and right behind the "Fori Imperiali" in the heart of Rome. The apartment is 753 square feet, just remodeled with a cozy living room with sitting area and dining area for 6 people. There is a double bedroom and a bedroom with two single beds. One of the single beds can be transformed into a double bed.  There is one master bathroom with shower. The kitchen is well equipped: stove with 4 burners, dish washer, microwave, kettle and toaster. The kitchen has a little balcony that faces the inner courtyard. You will find some potted plants and we invite you to water these in the hot summer season. The apartment has an independent gas heater and water heater. It also has air conditioning, ceiling fans, washing machine and Wi-Fi.  It is an ideal place for family or group of friends on vacation. The neighborhood is particularly inviting; rich with little artisan boutiques and little charming shops full of personality.

This Monteverde Vecchio apartment is a beautiful, magical, and cozy refuge located in an elegant and charming part of Rome that is well connected with the city center but slightly removed enough for peace, quiet, and some access to nature. I lived in this studio for over six months and treasured my time there. Nadja, the property owner (who lives below) is attentive and incredibly kind. She takes immaculate care of the property and is a joy to interact with. Costanza, who oversees the rental logistics of the property, is also a wonderful and deeply kind person who takes pride in her work and goes above and beyond to make one feel at home. These two women, became a sort of family for me in Rome. I have rented many properties all over the world and have to say that this kind of feeling is rare. The apartment itself has all of the amenities needed for living and working comfortably. Nadja decorated the apartment in a very quaint, sweet way that feels warm and welcoming. The best part about the space is the beautiful terrance and "winter garden" like area where I have spent countless hours reading and studying while enjoying the sound of birds, leaves, and wind. This apartment is close to the exquisite grounds of Villa Pamphili where one can bike ride, have picnics, and enjoy the beauty of what I find to be one of the world's most beautiful parks. The vibe of Monteverde Vecchio is also quite special -- it is elegant yet relaxed and full of lovely, independently owned markets, restaurants, and shops. This apartment is so close to the bus (literally right outside of the door that can take you to the Colosseum if you like) and Roma Trastevere train station (10 minute walk.) Being able to stay here made my time in Rome so memorable. I will always treasure my time here and cannot recommend this property enough! Excellent Natasha 9/6/2020 2:03:00 PM
