House to rent for one semester near KULeuven

We live in a cosy, spacious family house (300 m² living space) with a large private garden (4 a 80 ca). The house is renovated and has all modern facilities, including two large separated study rooms with wifi, two bath rooms, two living rooms (with tv and cable), four sleeping rooms etc. Our garden is green and a bit wild, but with a large terrace and a covered patio. A maximum of privacy is guaranteed.

About Me
Bert De Munck (1967) is full Professor at the History Department at the University of Antwerp, Belgium, teaching ‘Early Modern History’, ‘Theory of Historical Knowledge’, and ‘History of Science and Society’. He is a member of the Centre for Urban History, Antwerp, and the Director of the interdisciplinary Urban Studies Institute and the international Scientific Research Community (WOG) ‘Urban Agency: The Historical Fabrication of the City as an Object of Study’. His research concentrates on early modern cities, in particular craft guilds and civil society, poor relief and mutual aid, work and knowledge, and the ‘repertoires of evaluation’ regarding skills and products. Relevant publication are Guilds, Labour and the Urban Body Politic: Fabricating Community in the Southern Netherlands, 1300-1800 (Routledge, 2018), ‘Disassembling the City: A Historical and an Epistemological View on the Agency of Cities’, Journal of Urban History (2015): 1-19, and 'Artisans, Products and Gifts: Rethinking the History of Material Culture in Early Modern Europe’, Past & Present, 224 (August 2014), pp. 39-74. Expertise: Craft guilds, labour, civil society, poor relief, vocational training and the circulation of technical knowledge, science and knowledge formation, material culture and repertoires of evaluation, urban citizenship, conceptual and theoretical approaches to urban history and urban studies.
