About Me
I am a graduate of Edinburgh University in Politics and entered social work in Scotland and later in England. I completed my social work qualification at Nottingham Trent University and later did social work management qualifications to Diploma level of an MBA. After starting a radical new project to assist the most damaged and failing parents to parent appropriately, I was able to fulfil my interest in studying Spanish and the literature, history, culture and politics of Spanish speaking countries through a part-time degree at Nottingham University. I lived 18 months in Chile, doing voluntary social work and teaching English for the British Council. I have traveled extensively in Latin America, including living six months in Brazil. On retirement I was able to build a cottage in beautiful, rural Andalucia, Spain, close to a delightful small coast town with Moorish castle and one hour from historic Granada.
