Private one bedroom apartment that sleeps three adults comfortably (separate bedroom with queen-sized bed and a full bed sleeper couch in main space). Extra bedding. High-Speed Internet and Wifi. Dressing room, dresser and wardrobe closet. Fully equipped kitchen and dining area. Lounge area. Large entry-way and mudroom. Roomy bathroom with excellent shower and on-demand hot water. Linens and towels are provided. Washer, dryer and ironing board access is available upon request. We are located in Seattle's Green Lake Park neighborhood, nearby Aurora Avenue/Highway 99. As such our location straddles two distinct aspects of the city: a very quiet leafy retreat in a friendly and walkable neighborhood, and a close proximity to one of the regions busiest commercial corridors that attracts all walks of life. Green Lake Park, a five minute walk from the apartment, is a historic Olmsted Plan park that features swimming beaches, shaded lawns, sports fields, an indoor pool, a theater, boat and bicycle rentals and a three mile paved pathway for biking, walking and jogging. As part of the Olmsted Plan, Green Lake Park borders the 100-acre Woodland Park which features forested trails, a dog park, WPA-era picnic structures, lawn bowling, lighted running track, soccer and softball fields, a two-pool skate park, BMX trails, lighted tennis courts and a pitch-and-putt golf course. And of course, Seattle's zoo: the Woodland Park Zoo. Dining options nearby the apartment (many on Aurora Avenue) include a great variety of seafood, Thai, authentic Pho, sushi, gastropubs with specialty micro-brew offerings, Mexican lunch counters and Indian bodegas, an organic grocery store (with hot food take-out), and several independent coffee shops (as well as a Starbucks). All within a 10-15 minute walk from the apartment. Though we are always available (if need be) and love to meet our guests, your privacy is very important to us. We reside in the upstairs space, with occasional home visits from our 20 year-old son (in his final year at the University of Washington). We operate a design business in adjacent detached buildings. The layout is oriented to maximize your privacy and we are responsive to any feedback.
