It is suitable for one person, a couple, or a couple with a baby. We strongly prefer renting to academics in town for the summer & academic year. Extremely charming 1920s architecture, 700 sq ft, recently fully rebuilt and renovated with new design, new hardwood floors, new central air conditioning/heat, new windows, new paint, and brand new furniture. Also new appliances (fridge, washer and dryer) installed Jan. 2021. Layout: small kitchen with original period tile; bathroom; comfortable living/dining room; large bedroom with two large closets; small office (comfortable for use as a separate bedroom for baby or small child; you would need to bring the travel crib). Multiple windows in every room including casement windows and a huge French door in the living room, providing amazing light throughout the house. Wi-fi, central air/heat, private patio with a table and umbrella for outdoor meals. Lush cottage-style landscaping across the property gives a "magical cottage" feel. Easy and safe street parking (the city requires an overnight parking permit for all cars, $3/night or $30/month, can be easily purchased online). Super safe neighborhood. Great location: two blocks from gorgeous Garfield Park (tennis courts, playground, picnicking), 4 blocks from gourmet supermarket, 5 mins. from 110 freeway. Walking distance to shopping, cafes, farmers’ market, downtown South Pas, Gold Line rail. Please note: This guest house is behind our main house, separated by the garage and backyard. The entrance from the street is shared but the setting is very private, with landscaping that hides each house from the other.
