June 15 to July 15 - 2 bed, 2 office, 2 bath – Lansdowne Subway (Bloor line)

We are away from mid-June to mid-July 2019, and are looking for sub-letters who want a quiet, furnished house in which to live, relax, and work. It is a semi-detached home, so no parties, children, or additional guests. Rent is negotiable for the right person or couple.

Within a few minute walk of the subway and five minutes from the College streetcar, getting anywhere in Toronto is quick and easy. The neighbourhood also includes a wide range of stores, restaurants, art galleries, parks, and more.

The main floor consists of a cozy living room with working fireplace and an open kitchen/dining room with a large dining table. The kitchen has all amenities (gas stove, fridge, microwave, dishwasher, toaster oven, etc.).

Off the back of the kitchen is a sunken office. 11ft high ceilings let in the sunlight, and you can walk directly out to the private backyard garden. There is a BBQ for your use.

The back office has stairs to the finished basement, which has a sitting area and television. No cable, but you can stream movies through our Mac Mini which is hooked up to the TV, or you can move it to one of the offices and use it as a work computer if desired. The basement also has a queen-sized bed with Tempur-Pedic mattress, large dresser, and closet separated from the TV area by a half wall. Beyond that is a full bathroom (toilet, sink, and deep soaker bathtub) and a laundry area with washer and dryer.

Upstairs there is the second bathroom (toilet, sink, and shower stall), a bedroom with queen-sized bed, a second office, and another living room. From there you can walk out to the upper deck with outdoor dining table and chairs.

The house has central air conditioning.

Please email to see additional pictures.

Rent includes:
-Landline telephone (long distance charges are extra)
-High speed wireless internet (400 GBs/month downloading)
-Basic utilities with the exception of gas (Enbridge) and electricity (Hydro), which are paid by the tenant

The Neighbourhood:
Bloordale Village is vibrant and diverse. Galleries abound, including the Mercer Union and the new location of the Museum of Contemporary Art. Funky bars and restaurants within a 5 minute walk include Three Speed, Burdock, The Emerson, Bar Neon, etc. There are also take-out restaurants, from pizza to Caribbean food, cafés, and both vegan and standard bakeries. For more info see: http://discoverbloordale.com/

For shopping, The Nut House health food store is at the top of our street, and we are a 5-7 minute walk from Dufferin Mall, which has a No-Frills grocery store, Beer Store, Walmart, and a host of other retailers.

Our neighbourhood is very close to parks and other recreational areas. Across from Dufferin Mall is the popular Dufferin Grove Park, with a weekly farmer’s market that runs all year long, community dinners, pizza days, campfires, and skating at the outdoor ice rink (http://tinyurl.com/h88qvcl). The West Toronto Railpath is great for walks or jogging (https://railpath.ca/), and High Park, Toronto’s largest park, is a quick subway or bike ride away...
