NO OTHER COSTS. All fees are included (internet, cable TV, gym, swimming pool, utilities, etc. Parking may be available in the garage for an additional 220$ (but really there is no need for a car in this area).
AVAILABLE FROM June 1st, 2020, no less than 9 months, preferably longer periods. No smokers. No children. No pets.
430 M Street SW Washington DC 20024. Quiet and sunny 600 sq ft studio (circa 55m2). Fully furnished, with bedding, linen, and kitchenary. You need to bring your clothes and books, only!
Separate kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, mini-electrical oven in addition to the traditional large one the stove, and electrical equipment (coffee machine, mixer, electrical pot, etc.). Orthopedic mattress. Walk-in closet. Comfortable balcony facing a well-manicured garden (property of our co-op).
A nice park along the Potomac River is located just behind the building. A lot of green spaces belonging to the coop (see 'Tiber Island' website). Potomac Park on the other side of the channel, accessible through a free boat ride.
Located in the vibrant the Wharf in South West, across from Waterfront metro station (Green Line) and The South West Wharf, shops and food stores (Safeway, Officina, Wholefood, Harris Teeter), CVS, restaurants, cafes, theaters (Arena Stage) and acoustic halls (The Anthem), zip cars, public scooters and bikes.
Walking distance (in minutes): 2 minutes to waterfront metro (green line); 2 to the Arena Stage and to a black box theater; 2 minute to Safeway and CVS. 3 to The Wharf, 10 minutes to historic Fishmarket and upper scale restaurants, 10 to The Bible Museum, 20-25 to National Gallery and the National Mall, 30-35 to Library of Congress and Folger Library, 40 minutes to Union Station (otherwise 20 minutes by metro, and less than 10 minutes by car), 15 minutes to Soccer Stadium and Baseball stadium, 20 minute to Whole Food and Harris Teeter. Farmers' market (on Saturdays) and arts and crafts market (every other Friday) right in front of the building
By taxi: 10-15 minutes by car to Reagan National Airport (almost the same by metro).

About Me
Italian Native, Associate Professor of Italian, Mediterranean and Film Studies at VCU. I dwell prevalently in Richmond, VA, but I own this large studio for when I retire, as it is near (walking distance) to the National Gallery, the Library of Congress, the Wharf, the river park, shops, and right in front of the metro station Waterfront.

Bernardo's apartment is a comfortable place to live while in DC. I have lived here for over 10 months so far. I've really enjoyed the location of the apartment. It is catty-corner to the Waterfront metro stop on the green line. It is also a nice walk to the Mall area, Yards Park, and the baseball/soccer stadiums. There is a Safeway and CVS near the metro stop. There is also a rather nice Saturday farmer’s market and an every-other Friday night market/food vendors across the street from April through November. It is an easy 10 minute walk to the new and still developing Wharf area and about a 5 minute walk to the Washington Channel.

The efficiency was plenty big enough for me for a year. It is fully furnished. It is amazingly quiet in the apartment and around the Tiber Island complex. There is some city noise but for the most part it is quiet. It is also very quiet and calm along the Washington Channel. There is quite a lot green space and parks in the area as well.

Bernardo has been great. He was very helpful in getting me oriented to the area and showing me different walking paths around SW DC. He is very responsive to any questions or needs and helpful on getting any issues fixed.

I highly recommend this apartment.

Bernardo's apartment is a comfortable, cozy studio which I thoroughly enjoyed. It is convenient to the Metro, grocery store, CVS, yoga, and downtown DC.
